I wouldn’t ever let him ride that bike again, I’ve ridden in 20-30 degree weather, first you don’t need to pull in the clutch. Lol and how is your hand so cold that can can’t shift through 3rd but can shift from 2nd?

When I chopped my R1 in for the mt10 I wasn't sure if I was going to be happy with it but now after a few months I actually prefer it, it's more comfortable smooth and more usable and I can ride it much longer than the R1.its literally the best of both worlds

@@FastLaneD No I'm 90% sure annitori is only one way (but can be used using normal or gp shift), if you want bidirectional id reccomended translogic but I'm pretty sure there's quite a price increase there and I belive you also need an ecu flash for that

@@FastLaneD oof just did a search and the IRC is the only option I've found at $890, personally I'd just get the annitori for now and hold off on the auto blip until you get a new gen r1 or something similar

The R1 is definitely going to take the lead on the interstate, but the MT10 with it’s shorter gears and more low end torque could possibly take the lead in the first 3 gears even though it has less horsepower

i got a 2021 MT10 with a leo vince mid pipe and 2wdw ecu flash and man what a fun bike. just a monster.

I like both but I would like to know if the MT 10 has good aerodynamic protection I just can't see myself at 300 km / h on a bike without aerodynamic protection

I wish that MT10 had a quick shifter like my tuned 2018 MT!!!! It was so annoying watching him lose time and yards in between those shifts! It actually made me really sad ha ha ha Up to 3rd gear (120mph) the MT has the R1 all day, and then after that the R1, which has 30-35 more hp, gets the nod! Greetings from the UK :)

With that comparison I’d have to honestly rule that MT10 to be the better bike. That being said the R1 will always be the R1 not only fast but with that sharp Yamaha look. But if you had 1 bike I’d go for the M10 all day. The speed difference is minuscule for the advantage of riding position and comfort level that the 10 brings to the table. Both awesome bikes just be preference to what style of riding your looking to do.

Yes! 0-120 or 0-130 its pretty close, but after that the R1 walks the MT-10! So if you plan on doing a bunch of highway smackdowns or track days Id go with the R1. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁

I feel like these results would be much different if you had someone with a working clutch hand on the R1.

The MT10 need full Exauste+filter+tune and it will be very close even with the R1

The R1 engine and the MT10 engine have the same cc number but they arent the same engine. The R1 engine has higher compression parts. That's why it has 40 more hp.
