Yamaha MT03 | Top Speed| Is 300cc enough?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

When you're thinking about which first bike to get, engine displacement is something that always comes up. Some say 300cc is not enough for highway speeds, some say you can get up to speed, but not can't overtake other vehicles. Is all that true?? Watch the video to find out! This is a beginner rider's perspective. And like all of you, I too was stuck in the decision of 300cc vs 400cc vs 600cc before purchasing my first bike, the Yamaha MT03. If you have any questions or if you're in a similar decision point as I was, drop a comment and let me know!

Finally I found a person putting the 300 through the paces and shooting down all the negative comments about the 300 !! It's totally powerful enough for the freeway and it's great for just going around town and here or there! And it can run at 80 plus all day long, me and 4 of my friends who all have this bike , we took the interstate all the way to Las Vegas and we hit 85 plus the whole way, yamaha mt03 knows how to put a good bike out there!!

I just got one last October. 2023 MT03. It’s my first bike, so I’ve been learning on it. Speed is totally fine for me personally. Of course at some point I’ll upgrade but for right now it’s okay. Once you get it, upgrade to the Yamaha R6 throttle tube. Makes such a big difference(shorter throw in the throttle), feels like the bike is tuned now lol. Overall I love this bike though, I only have my permit so I’m not supposed to go on the freeway anyways.

To be honest, I had the same concern and was also deciding between an mt03 and mt07. On a 300cc bike, a good chunk of time is spent on learning how to ride and develop true skill (it may take years to really push the limits of your own riding skills, even on a 300). Vs. on a bigger bike, your learning curve will be much slower because a lot of the times you'll be just putting in a lot of effort to simply ride the machine. If you don't have a heavy throttle hand and you're okay with learning at a slower pace, mt07 may be a good choice for you. I wanted to learn faster so I went with mt03 (resale value is good on them as well)

I've thought about going the route of a sv650 or the mt-07 for naked just due to the fact it has another 15mph top speed so the rpm shouldn't be as high when doing highway in my state.
