Sorry about the blurring, I was only 10-15k's over so I should have just left it, I was worried about my friend cause he has only just come off a ninja 250 and the mt09 wasn't his bike it was a demo we were test riding hence the trashing :)

Hello from the future, I just bought the 2022 MT09. It has a Cyclops looking headlight and has 40ish more hp! I wish you could experience this beast. Only 2 more years! (This model came out in 2021)

I have got same bike and same color. I will never give up riding this model. Its fantastic bike!

The triple engine is awesome. I'm digging my Street Triple.

tis 1 thing to ride like a twonk but a complete other to record it and publish it. spanners like you tom give the rest of us who ride a bad name (splitting at highway speed, blatant speeding, poor lane ettiquite to name a few). when they drum out bullcrap stats to support clamping down on bikers yet again it is carry on like this that gets the rest of the motoring public on their side! sure, I break road rules here n there but I wouldn't be giving the powers that be more reason to vilify us by posting it to the tube!!!

It's I either spend 5 hours blurring it manually frame by frame or blur in big areas, first option would delay the video another week :(

RidingWithTom what program do you edit with, Tom? I use sony vegas (which is a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal piece of shit) but you can track the movement with keyframes. would take 10 mins tops :)

RidingWithTom Also free software like kdenlive will do tracking as well to blur or cover with an image or whatever you want. Just highlight the area to track and then it's automatic. Super simple hardly no effort.

You could also just put a sticker on the speedo but only on the last number so if you are doing 90 you only see the 9 and if Lets say you are doing 110 you just see 11

JRobCards This guy, Sir Jgvara, is asking about what camera his friend Jerome (or whatever his name is) has on the Z1000. Except it's not a camera and is an interphone f5. And besides, Tom uses a GoPro Hero3+ Black (not entirely sure on the model). It's impossible to mount a Drift onto the front of a helmet.

Ah, the only camera I could see at 5:00 was in Tom's mirror which on the side of the helmet looked like a Drift. Sorry, my bad. I thought I saw him upload a video about a Drift HD set up or has he upgraded?

+campaspe810 Haha no it isn't. The reason you can't test ride bikes half the time is because the dealer lets anyone with a license blast one. Hence new riders taking out bikes way too big for themselves and totaling them exiting the parking lot.

Its hard for me to compare this bike to the Triumph as the Yamaha is $2,000 cheaper.

The one I rode wasn't as soft as that one seems, maybe it was adjusted at my shop.. Bike is amazing fun, so torque-y and just wants to go, all the time :-) I loved it and at the price..how can anyone not like her. Although the throttle snatch does take a bit getting used too. Nice review mate! The B mode, no snatch at all btw.

Good vid but blurring over half of the screen is a bit annoying for the viewer in my opinion! Maybe just blur only the speedo itself next time :)

***** Comparing this bike with the Z1000 is a failure my friend. Z1000 is on a different league IMO. I do agree though, for the price it is a good deal overall. Also, the stupid shit you do on public roads is just silly.... No hate intended here just giving you my honest opinion.
