Dillon Kidder I have grown up my whole life riding Yamaha's. My uncle tried the RX-1 but hated it, so he returned it and still rides his Mountain Max today. In terms of fixability, ease of finding parts, and most importantly RELIABILITY, the old Mountain Max 700's are tanks. I could afford a new sled, I just can't justify it the way our MM 700's run. They do struggle in the deep stuff though, I agree, but how many days a year is it so deep that they can't go where you want them to go? Maybe 2 days a year? Love my MM's.

if you have the money to buy a new sled you have literally zero reason not to do so, a mountainmax handles awfully compared to any other newer machine

that is not a 98 MM,, 98s r red, 2000 and up r blue,, I I know I had one,, I still have a 97 with PSI pipes, I moved the skid back 5" with a Hartman deep snow kit using the 141 track, it changed the angle of attack from 28 degrees to 17, gets up on snow way better
