Lovely. Sounds just like my Spectrasonics' Keyscape Rhodes. Nice job, Yamaha!

Your demos of the Montage M8x are the best on the net. I get lost in your playing…I love my M8x. Thanks!

Love my XF8! Keeping it!! But Yamaha did a hell of a job with these patches!! WAY BETTER than the original montage. Love your playing. I wonder how does the orchestral patches sound?😀🎹🎶❤️👍🏾

I love that sigh that Rhodes makes when he cuts the sound when he releases the key, it looks like he's breathing to sing the next note.

Lovely playing! Will you continue this series with a demo of the m8x organs?

Thanks! I have already shot the next two video's which are musical FX patches. I can do that but it won't be until late March due to my schedule.

Hi Pete, nice "RHODES" sounds. I have a question, are these sounds original yamaha or are they your own or modified by you. Thank you.

Thanks for watching. These are Yamaha presets that I tweak while playing using the controllers on the montage..

Thanks for your content! I'm trying to have a minimal setup and have been deciding between a Montage M, YC88, and Nord State 4. If the Montage M were the only piano in my home (besides a couple of the Refaces, which I love), how would it function as an all around practice piano / sound design instrument? In particular, I noticed when demoing it a Guitar Center that the keys seemed a tad bit more narrow than a regular piano. How do you find the narrowness of the keys? BTW, I'm far from a professional musician and am instead an enthusiastic hobbyist who likes to split his time between jazz/blues/gospel/neo-soul piano and synthesis

Hi. Thanks for watching. Have actually grown to really like the action on the montage over the months I have owned it. I'm not familiar with the Nord, but I do also like the YC as I own one of those too.

@@PeteCalandra Thanks for the reply. Do you find the action on the YC88 heavy? I've read reports that the CP88 is the heaviest piano they've played and that the YC88 action is technically the same type of action.

I have grown to like it. When I first got it, it felt very different than the YC88. After a month or so of working on it, I like the way it feels. That being said, touch is personal. Thanks for watching
