Great video Neil. And your comments about cable quality are spot on. I have experimented in ordering economical XLR cables from Amazon. My best advice is, stick with well-established brands. It’s not that you can’t get decent cables from XY/mystery brands but their problem is inconsistency.

Hi babis, thank you for commenting. If you sing alone just using the speaker or powered monitors then No, a mixing desk is not required. It gets a little more complicated when using a full PA system however. If your in a large room and perhaps using a PA with a sound engineer then I would advise to use a mixer. Sound engineers like a separate vocal feed so at least they can adjust the mic without the keys. I use a mixer because I take 5 separate lines out the back of the genos. The cables are Magami Cables, they are mega expensive but I prefer them. I've sourced the cheapest I can find in my shop. Just follow the link.👍

Hello Mr. Tomlin, I am a Genos owner and would like to set up my Gino’s for live performances which I was blown away watching your post. song library, cable hook ups, having all my songs in the memory bank is all new to me. Hi Neil. Are you saying you needed to open the bottom of your US purchased Genos up and manually switch it to 240V for use in the UK? It sounded like you said to just buy a cable with the correct plug receptacle for the UK and the Genos power supply will automatically switch to the incoming voltage?

No need to open up the keyboard. Just use a cable with a uk plug on the end.

The Genos does power switching internally so you will just need to pick up a AC power cable in the UK that fits and you should be good to go.
