YAMAHA GC-1 BABY GRAND PIANO FOR SALE - LIVING PIANOS

SEE THIS PIANO: livingpianos.c...
Here is a Yamaha manufactured in Japan which was sold brand new just a few months ago. It is in new condition inside and out. It is superior in craftsmanship to the Indonesian made Yamaha pianos, and is also a larger baby grand than the entry level Yamaha baby grands which are only 5-feet long. So the bass is more robust, and the larger soundboard produces a more refined sound.
The Yamaha GC1 is a sought after instrument because it combines superior craftsmanship, rich sound quality, and has Yamaha’s reputation for producing well-crafted pianos. It is a piano that is suitable for everything from casual playing at home, to rigorous use in teaching studios or practice rooms.
The design is classic with deluxe, sculpted music rack which adjusts both in distance, as well as viewing angle. The fall board is a slow-close design. It comes with the original matching bench.
If you appreciate the high quality of Yamaha pianos, and are looking for a deal on one that is virtually new, this is a great opportunity for you

I’ve heard of the C1X and GB1K, but not the GC1. This is unusual for this channel to hear a brand new Yamaha. Can hear how it’s not played in yet. Love hearing Robert play such a variety of pianos.

Great to always see you and hear you play - as a Yamaha C3 owner a 1987 jazz player here - I can tell you without hesitation a Yamaha is absolutely stunning - recently had Evon Brunner regulate, action and voice it softer and the results are on par with Faust in westchester $100k CFX - so don’t hesitate this piano is STUNNING sound and look - great video

Seeing and hearing Robert play on a 2022 Yamaha baby grand made in Japan when he usually plays on 30+ year old American or European pianos adds variety. Regarding the CFX, Yamaha incorporated sound engineering from that into smaller pianos in their line, right down to the C1X and GC1.

Yamaha has gone to a more of a sprayed out sound now that subtly changes colors but maintaining clarity and precision. It's a lot different than the type of cut-through sound they used to be known for. So, some of the pianos coming out of the factory are either neutral or a bit warm. They'll brighten up in time because the hammers will harden but their hammers are different than they used to be and not as hard. The piano does sound young and will open up with more playing. GC-1 is meant to be more affordable than the CX series which is like a CF series in training.

I have a GC-1 from 1977 and it never looses its tune, although I get it checked every 2 or 3 years.

It depends on which Asian made piano. Kawais and Yamahas are proven to be workhorses. That's a big difference to other brands. Can't put all Asian pianos in the same category.

You can use the pedal in anything. You just have to know how to use it and when to use it. The combination of pedal with good legato is where the magic begins. That’s what distinguishes an artist like Horowitz from the rest.

Mozart's piano had a lever operated with the knee which did exactly the same thing as the sustain pedal on a modern piano.
