I love blasters. I have bigger Atv's and dirt bikes, But I will always have my blaster. They are so freakin reliable and fun.

Brings back memories. My dad bought me a brand new 98 Blaster when I was 12 for Christmas. I didn't know how to work a clutch when I got it but I became a master of that thing. Those were the days.

a few years ago I bought a Yamaha Blaster for my daughter, wasn't happy with it. So I modded it, Had transfer ports done at Terrog, installed a 10.6:1 compression piston. DR Motors in TRF did full port N Polish on intake and Exhaust ports, also did some head work. Its at the limits of 91 pump gas. I also went from the 28mm carb and throttle body to a 34mm Mikuni. Kept the Oil injection to keep it simple, Installed 22" tall tires out back and 23" tall out front, went a tooth taller up front. Right now it will jump a full quad length in front of my brothers Polaris Scrambler 400 2-stroke and won't look back. My daughter's little Blaster does top out over 70mph because of the gearing changes. stock set up 55mph... or so... I also freed up exhaust and air intake, installed a larger power reed cage and power valve. from the YZ dirt bike. I live in-between Polaris and Arctic cat in Minnesota. If you have a crazy motor idea Ill drop another company's name that has put 2 motors together, Northern Crankshaft in Thief river falls, MN 56701 If you can dream it they can custom build it. Such as 2 Firecat 1,000 cc motors stuck together for a 2000cc 4-cylinder 2-stroke monster to crank out 360hp naturally asperated beast to stick in a UTV frame like the wildcat Sport and still be around 1000 pounds! lol Side note Dennis R from DR motors is just finishing up my Yamaha raptor 770 with a plus 3mm intake and a plus 2mm exhaust valves. plus many others things... should be around 80Hp or so. Always enjoy riding regardless of what it is. Just about getting out there, take care...

I own three one is extended bored out widened etc but I ride the stock gen one with my partner and son it's great underrated and underestimated I can still wheelie donut and drift stock so that's all you need so easy to rebuild nothing ever goes wrong genuine high comp piston matched to the bore reeds change and exhaust gearing will see you smiling all day long much love ☺️

My 2001 I removed the oil pump usually breaks anyways and just mix right in the tank is best for my quad as pumps are garbage. But quad is a beast other then that.

I never own the newer gen blaster put I've owned 8-9 blasters from 94 to 2003 never had the duck bill plastics tho. But they're not bad at all. Ill blow a stock one up in and week or two smh.. tear it down and get it ready for the 240 big bore kit.. now that 240 big bore kit hot rod crank boyson vforce carbon fiber reeds and reed change built carb semi built ktm 300 have problems with em. I know. I've had 8-9 of em
