The engine has 2 shallow water drive positions, fully up and fully down of course so 4 positions total.

Great engine...I have this on my 11 whaler and it fly's at 30 MPH.

@@jefferydavis3194 It gets up with two adults and my 6 year old grandson. 25 MPH top speed with this load.

Thanks for the video. I just bought this motor yesterday for my 11'11" Zodiac inflatable with aluminum v-hull. The entire boat weighs 111lbs, so with the motor, fueled up It is right at 250lbs. The boat currently will go 22mph with two people onboard using a yamaha 9.9hp. The boat is rated for 30hp, so I just bought this 126lb 25hp outboard as an upgrade. I'm eager to find out how fast she'll run with 2.5X the HP. I'm hoping to touch 30mph, but I''d be happy with high 20s.

@@stevenramirez7707 ​ @Steven Ramirez With only me in it, it is bouncing off the limiter at 31mph all stock, with the 11.25pitch aluminum prop. This is a completely stock boat, with just me and a 6 gallon tank. The GF an I just went on the lake today, and with both of us (180lbs + 125lbs) hit 29mph on the stock boat, motor and prop. I ordered a Yamaha SS performance prop in 12 pitch. I have not installed it yet, but I am anticipating it doing 33mph with just me, and 31 with me and the GF. Now with the stock video taken today, I do another before and after video with the SS prop in a few weeks.

@@stevenramirez7707 Just as a follow up. I installed the SS 12" pitch prop on Friday and tested it Yesterday. I'm super happy with the results. 30mph with the GF and I (1mph gain) and 34mph with just me in it (3mph gain) It accelerates just as fast if not slightly quicker. With just me in it, it is touching the revlimiter, but not bouncing off it. So with the boat loaded with two people and gear, it is the perfect prop for this setup. I spent weeks researching prop pitches and ss props and went with a slightly higher pitch (11.25" to 12") while going with a more efficient SS prop to not negatively affect acceleration. I'm very happy with my decision. I'm putting together a thorough video of before and after topspeed footage, with detailed explanations and GPS mph readout in real time. I'll let you know when I upload it.

Yes engine is off

Just bought that motor and it will push my 16 ft Lund with 3 people at 24mph

I just bought one as well and it gets my 14ft alumacraft 26mph with 3 people. Just curious is your boat heavy with decks and stuff?

How is the vibration as low RPMs on this one?

That was a great little engine. Use to let it idle for hours while fishing. No problem with vibration at all
