The green on those shale pit spruce is just so beautiful. Nice update. Thanks James.
Great looking trees...
Nice looking trees. I like the bluebird in that one pot, a touch of class.
I like all these rescue trees from the pit. They develop a nice root system. The silver birch is cool. Nice trunk and the color is cool. Wisteria with the bird, super cool. Cotten Easters, cool. At least that is what I call them and a few of my friends in landscaping do. Like the old song: You say: Toe May Toe and I say To ma to. Any way you say it, it is the latin name that counts. Yours are doing great. Cool little bonsai trees in the fly through. I better keep quiet. Committing to much on the all these wonderful trees. Part 2 will be cool!!!
Beautiful James!! Glad yal are getting warm !!! Already hot in Texas ! 😊🥵
Things are looking so well there!! This week we might get some warm too, between the rain. I took a trip to one of our other gravel pits. It was the ancient shore of Lake superior as well, like our one I collected from before. It has heavy stone deposits from the glacier melts, riverstone. The trees look like your shale pit trees. I even pulled some by hand. I think I heard people screaming at me, I didn't even upload the video yet... Hahahaha! I was after Tamarack, but since seeing yours..... I pulled out a Birch. I was going to wait to try one because everyone always says how difficult they are. When my husband questioned me about it, I immediately blamed you. Hope you don't mind. 😇😄💚❤ Great Updates! You sure have a ton there! Very nice!
Secoind!
Foist!
Do you do much pruning or just let them get on with it?

I prune when I first collect the trees now I’ll let them grow for the summer
