I have vivid memories of visiting yala with my family every weekend. We had some really cool wildlife encounters.

If you want to see Elephants in Sri Lanka, the best place is Minneriya National park. You would definitely see at least 150 Elephants there. Second is UDAWALAWE. I never recommend Yala for anything. You can hardly see any animal there.

best Safari I've been on was in Kenya. Tsavo East National Park. If you ever get the chance give it a shot -it's awesome!

I found your channel a couple of days ago. I still don't get how you don't have hundreds of thousands of subscribers/views! Definitely high quality camera work and editing, & I can feel the effort you put into your videos. Can I suggest a video idea? I see that both of you are travelling with carry-on only, right? But thankfully it allows people to find us organically like you did so the more videos we'll produce the more people can find us and we believe that at some point subscribers will come 😃 Thanks for the video idea, we're not only traveling with carry on, also with our backpacks, but we fit our entire life in 50L pretty much as the rest is camera gear. Maybe one time we'll do a video on it!

Was het erg prijzig om naar Sri Lanka te gaan? Hoeveel waren jullie ongeveer kwijt? Zaten jullie in dure hotels/ of juist in hostels? Ik zit er aan te denken om in Juli te gaan voor ongeveer 3 weken. Ziet er heel gaaf uit in ieder geval!

Sri Lanka zelf is niet enorm duur, eten kan erg goedkoop (maar ook duur), OV is super goedkoop, alleen accommodaties zijn over het algemeen duurder. Wij verblijven tegenwoordig vaak in luxere plekken omdat we samenwerken met die hotels, maar er is genoeg te vinden voor ieder budget (weinig hostels alleen). That is a lot of patience r8 there guys, haha, is that asiatic elephant or african? seems quite too big for asiatic. That is a very cool safari on a jeep, dunno if we have that on jeep safari here in indo, mostly by walk or by boat, srilanka is really beautiful, thumbs up!

Haha yeah we needed a lot of patience. We just kept having good vibes and that helped us through it. No idea what kind of elephant it exactly was, but they were HUGE. Btw: more HUGE elephants are coming in a week, and with that I mean: HUGE. So stay tuned 😃 One day we'll do a safari in Indonesia too, never done that!

Simply Yank In Sri Lanka you can only find the Asian Elephant (SL is in Asia ;))

i notice you got the osmo...how are you finding it, i ditched mine after a couple months. i liked the results but took so much time to set up and get a shot i didnt end up using it much. now my g7 x is battered and bruised and would long for it back sometimes! haha.

Haha we know the feeling! The OSMO is absolutely shit when it es to setting it up. However it gives these cinematic vibe that no few cameras give, so we're keeping it...

Pro tip: tourism really over populates Yala resulting in large queues and way too many vehicles which isn't good for the environment and animals. Visit Wilpattu instead for a slightly denser forest but less jeeps and somewhat similar chances of seeing a leopard.
