Sri Lanka is a beautiful country for a holiday with such a huge variety of animals to see and such beautiful rivers and water tanks and dams and hill country and spectacular beaches and such amazing food to eat it is a paradise to behold for everyone and the friendly locals will make you most welcome See the villages and out of the way places that will great experience ,

As hindus we usually go to kataragama on foot. It's called padayathra. We just travel through the forest. It takes normally 7/8 days. We have seen a lot of animals in the forest. But in that season they rarely come outside of the forest. It's a wonderful experience with prayers.

Hi, not really but as far I'm aware there is 215 species of bird recorded, 44 mammals, and 46 reptiles, 52 butterflies
