Now that I'm thinking about it. What the hell does Japan military wear for bomb defusing. America and some other countries use EOD suits. (currently new development underway) I guess they don't believe in protection so they just do it raw. Probably skilled enough without it. Not saying much because those suits are bulky and difficult to move in also causes heat stroke from lack of ventilation.

My favorite thing about this scene Kaoru met Majima ONE TIME during the game, and it left enough of an impression on her that she had a nightmare about him trying to disarm a bomb.

Headcanon: Majima does counting nursery rhyme before making any decision even back when he was sane, this is how he decided to not kill Makoto.

Roll in with a wagon of money, solve half the crisis for everyone. Oh, fuck, one of the lower-rank guy killed someone from rival gang and war might happens? Don't worry, take the chairman with you, apologize, hand resignation letter and intimidate the fuck out of everyone to not start a mess after your sincere apologies (none of Omi's three captains dared to start anything with Majima even when they really wanted a war. Ryuji even said that starting a fight with a no-nonsense guy like Majima is too risky.) Your young boss told you to defuse bombs across the city? No probs. Honestly? If I'm against anyone who can defuse bombs by mere *instinct* I would rather fuck out of there.

Majima is my hero, he used to scare the hell out of me in Kiwami 1, but I slowly realised he's just an old dog obsessed with fighting, for whom life has no greater calling then to face his rival in ceaseless combat. And he's crazy, which is a plus when you're romanticizing potential homicide.

The explosion was just Sayama's nightmare. That's why she said "what an awful dream". Majima really did disarm the bomb that way though.
