Oh and heres a tip, kiwami 2 does a really bad job telling you how the combos work, see if you just hit an enemy with just sqaure there's a random chance they'll just block mid combo this is where the blue charge attacks come into place, this will stun them for a short time an they won't block your attacks mid combo Now theres three ways to land it, 1.dodge a move then land it, 2.armour through an attack (not recommend for no damage runs) 3. Parry into it and release it

Honestly been playin it recently and i love the combat, like the style switching is awesome and kiwami 1 really pushed the combo potential, but kiwami 2 is a whole different ball park, like the name of the game is IMPACT, everything hits like a truck, the enemies, and especially kiryu, no attack is left unfelt unlike in the style switching system it really lacked that, brawls are fast paced and especially brutal when going against bosses for the first time, or large groups, just trading blows until one of you get lucky and takes the other off their feet, there's less moves, yes, but it more focuses on maximizing what you can do with a highly concentrated move set, rather then a laundry list of moves half of which you'll never use cuz tiger drops so broken XD

@@fobo3361 I like/love pretty much every Yakuza game ive played so far (Im on 4 rn) and i like both engines but for different reasons my only grip with the dragon engine is the early game feels really stiff and slow it's only really after i buy the combo speed and quick step cancel upgrades do i feel like k2 really shines and is on par with 0 and k1's combat Also i like how 0 and k1 just feel smooth right of the bat and have amazing combat and combo potential but the only thing i think hold tho's games back is dominant strategy in 0 its find a bike and switch to beast in k1 its unlock tiger drop Although you could argue that in legend difficulty you do have to spice up your gameplay but i think that applys to very yakuza game

@@manlymcbeefinton2014 yea personally i think kiwami 2 just fit my playstyle of bullying the enemy with the physiques system, where in 0 and 1 they just had the one animation of being ass up and that was it, i remember actually thinking while playing 0 like "is this fun?" I couldn't tell if i was enjoying myself, cuz it felt good but i wasn't sure if it was fun or frustrating honestly until i unlocked alot of the different heat actions and i could actually pull off some cool stuff like no hitting mr. Shakedown and bullying bosses etc etc (especially with majima's stab counter, that was super fun to pull off)

How do you start these combos btw? I think the only notable Y6/K2 comboer I know of is GUNKSHOT and his setup is pretty similar to this

Well i haven't played 6 yet but know who GUNKSHOT is and yeah he did inspired my playstyle, but start these combos theres multiple things you need to consider 1st of Get the following moves, quickstep cancel, Evasion Strike and boost combo speed Quickstep cancel allows you cancel the first Triangle move in "most" combos 2nd if you just hit an enemy with just sqaure there's a random chance they'll just block mid combo this is where the blue charge attacks come into place, this will stun them for a short time and they won't block your attacks mid combo Now theres three ways to land it, 1.dodge a move then land it, 2.armour through an attack (not recommend for no damage runs) 3. Parry into it and release it Another thing is the frame rate where the enemies will recover really quickly and block or dodge mid combo ironicly GUNKSHOT made a video about this kzread.info/dash/bejne/d52XysaAe7LUmJM.html but a way to mitigate this is after stuning an enemy is too cross up them and start attacking them from the back (similar to other games as well) Any other questions feel free to ask 👌

Are you hitting them with an evasion strike or tiger drop that stuns them and makes them hold their stomach? Dope video!

It's a good question You need to hit them with a blue charge attack then combo them But another factor is rng sometimes enemies drop out due to it and the frame rate relates to the rng watch this video that goes into further detail, hope this helps if not and I've misunderstood ill try again kzread.info/dash/bejne/d52XysaAe7LUmJM.html
