I really want to see more of Chloe. Theres just something about her movements. Even the way she walks into her next step is just so graceful. Is it wrong to ask her ethnicity? Because she seems somewhat the enigma, i see malaysian, latina, indigenous American, French. Its like she has the best of everything. Shes definetly going to be such a star. She needs her own channel.

A year from now a vlog like this will have a million views. This is the best backstage accsess ive ever seen of the YAGP. Keep up these excellent vlogs but please try and bear in mind some of us are new to dance and it would be good to have like a bit of an idiots guide. I still have no idea what categories the dancers were competing in and the results. Anyhow ive watched this three times, each time i see something new. I love watching the open stage bits. There amazing.

Loving these vlogs! Also, Felipe going to find all the free stuff is honestly so relateable! Throwback to my high school and uni days when I would get as much free stuff as possible at the open days and career fairs (I've lost track of how many pens, post-it notes, notepads, and stress balls I collected, and some USBs, too).

Your head guy (I'm sorry, I don't want to spell his name wrong) reminds me a lot of my high-school band teacher. He had that same dad energy but he was also an excellent leader and teacher. We always placed top in competitions and band felt like a family and I think a lot of that was thanks to him. It's so great to see these young artists blossoming under his guidance and support. It shows you can train fantastic dancers without being too harsh with them and killing their love for the craft.

Michael you do a very good job of staying…just slightly out of the line of attention! Which is another very rare quality in male dancers/teachers. Do you know what I mean? No? You stay silent in the background so that the audience’s attention is focused on your students and not on what a sensational dancer you are! I say BRAVO to you Michael! Congratulations on the success of all your beautiful dancers! Ovations will follow them everywhere they go because of your beautiful family and this academy! Amazing! And so much fun to watch on KZread!

Also what exactly is that 'open stage' thing. Are they being marked there too? I thought they were just practicing but i keep hearing ppl say 'good luck with your open stage'???

​@@EvidentlyFire For as far as I'm aware they do not get jugded during open stage. It used to get a feel of the stage and the lights and maybe work on some last details.

She is using rosin, she uses it to make the pointe shoes less slippery, since the fabric of the shoe is so smooth. Without it, there is a bigger chance a dancer will slip. They often use it on the heel and the platform. This dancer uses the little rocks you have to crash, but there is also a liquid version.

And she is also using it on her heel right now, between her tights and the pointe shoe, to ensure the back of the shoe does not slip of her heel.
