With the newest " Main firmware", Mouse "right click" will be "function button push" from main screen....and scroll wheel now works for menu selection and function selection. PS: You can now left click on frequency readout top right and use mouse wheel to move tuning like the VFO knob

Gonna have to do this upgrade. I still have the stock version of EVERYTHING. MY DNR still sounds like scuba diving.

Yes worth it .

The DNR was improved with the March 27, 2023 update. You can now use up to algorithm 7 without the watery sound. Listen starting at algorithm 8 when no one is speaking and you will still hear the watery sound. You can also hear it between the words of a weaker signal.

I saw a function for "menu save"... I would think that means you could and should back up both memory and menu so you don't lose a year's worth of fine tune adjustments in the :" Menu" Why is there a reason for " Factory reset" ?

If the nature of an update affects the menu structure, I recommend not restoring the menu from a backup. It might cause a problem.

For SWL(SSB) does anyone have compared the latest fw of the FT-710 with the FTDX10? I'm debating between the two. Thank you

DX10 If you want CW Decode , 710 I'd you want full sdr

I have both and you cannot go wrong with either. I do think the CW is a little better in the DX10, so if you plan to go that direction, I definitely would go for the upgrade, otherwise if you are sticking with phone, the 710 is just as good and I would say I get better audio reports with the 710 oddly.

Odd?, I have a n much earlier version of FW and yet my SCULAN 10 works just fine.
