Flip phones are great. nice to meet you. I'm a Japanese essayist. The name is Mikan Oshidari（忍足みかん）. I am writing a book called [I want to stop being a slave to my smartphone]. I was addicted to my smartphone. But now I use a flip phone. It's very good for your mental health. Smartphone addiction is a serious disease. However, it is not seen as much of a problem worldwide. I like flip phones. But I'm worried about what will happen if it's no longer manufactured. I'm glad that the goodness of flip phones is being reevaluated little by little. It's not that smartphones are bad. I like the flip phone. I hope that from now on, we will live in a world where we can choose between smartphones and flip phones.

I literally only use youtube and Pinterest. I want to get a flip phone that can use these. I need a smaller more compatible phone because i carry a lot of things specifically for my health. Also im just tired of this iphone like its just breaking in two years every single time i get one and its not even me breaking it it just breaks.

Got my 6s since 2017 and it still works perfectly (I would say tho a friend helps me change the battery every 3 years) but I’m so nostalgic of flip phones too… when my 6s dies I defo will get this phone (cannot live without Spotify and Maps so no dumb phones for me)

Cool flip phones!! I didn't get a phone until I was in college and it was a small Nokia phone. I got a camera slider phone at 22. My dad didn't believe that I needed a nice phone in college to waste time on...🙄 By watching your videos my weekend got better!!!😊😊

I didn't get my OWN phone and service until HS when I got my first job 😭 I had a Nokia, a slider, a samsung seek and a knock off version of a blackberry metro pcs 💀 my cousin had a red phone that had two sides and I wanted it soo bad! I’ve been thinking about getting a flip phone for almost 2 years since I missed how it felt to use it. I used to have a flip phone growing up and I still keep hold of it till this day even though I can’t use it anymore. Especially since the LG Smart Folder is like $80 and I’m seeing Samsung Folder 2 for almost $300 I wanted to get a nostalgic flip phone that still works in todays world lol I like typing in t9 it reminds me of middle school 😂 I have the Z Flip 4 and LG Wine Smart (❌don’t buy does not work ❌) 🚩❌The LG Wine Smart is not the same as the LG Smart Folder❌🚩

You are literally the first and only KZreadr to go over both these phones in one video and your videos are really good, straight to the point and best of all ✨aesthetically pleasing.✨ Yea the LG Wine Smart was advertised as 4g LTE on eBay but that is FALSE it is only really 3g compatible and running Android Kit Kat. I can’t use or download any apps because it is so outdated. When I try to browse the web or use google services I get error messages. It is about the same price but a little cheaper so I wanted to warn others in case they read the comments. On the bright side I got it in pink so I just customized it with stickers to be a pretty piece of tech 💖and an mp3 player 🎶lol

You can turn blue light from iphone off if you want. It turns your screen to a deep yellow but after a while it just looks normal to you 😃

Touch screen in my high-school days was not yet invented even wifi. So we used keypads which works a lot specially when you sneakily typing faster without looking at the screen. 😂.

Thank you! These phones don't allow sd card slots and the LG folder has an aux port, but the samsung folder uses a mini usb port earbuds that come with some of the phones.

I know the folder 2 if you’re in the US you have to make sure the model number is I think g1650 and it can use boost mobile, the others might work with t-mobile or mint mobile but only in certain states

the Fig Flip II X is a good alternative and looks the same except for the buttons. it's an updated clone of the samsung folder 2 and has better service coverage.

Can you navugate through the phone with just the keypad? Or is it forced on screen swipe to scroll?

Oh, you can definitely use the keypad! It just would have taken me longer to record because I was umconfused by some of the keys.

Love it! Just bought a folder 2 and i am so hyped :-) Wanted the korean version but could not find it anywhere shipping to spain. This phone seems to be awesome to read and watch some reddit / netflix / youtube in bed, and looks very neat aesthetically speaking. Also, can I know where you found a case for it? Bc I can't find any :(

I would suggest again against the wine series if you meant the old version because some mentioned either in this video or in my lg smart folder video that they regret purchasing that one because it's too slow and certain apps don't work! Regular sim card didn't work for the LG smart folder, and I haven't tried the folder 2 yet. It might just take a GSM sim card tbh, but you can definitely get an app and call and text. Hotspot works on it as well!!

I live in the States, and I got the samsung folder 2 through Mercari, but I got the LG folder and several other phones from aliexpress, and shipping is fine. They ship pretty much anywhere now ( depending on the seller sometimes )

I still prefer my old Sony Ericsson W595.Even though it is a feature phone from like 2008,it can play mp3 files,play videos,detect songs,using Google Maps and so much more.

@@nananajiglo.2743 It requires 3G unfortunately. Thankfully in Singapore,3G is still available. Most features of the phone do not work anymore as Sony has since shut the servers down.

Thank you! Only the LG folder has a headphone jack, and the samsung one needs a special mircro USB cable headphones that sometimes come with the phone if you can find it.

I stated it in the videos, but I can't really chose between specs because their virtually the same. The samsung beats it because of the better screen and camera, but the LG beats it because of the price for the same product kind of. If that makes any sense.

Hiii!! Thank you!💗💗 no, I don't really use these types of phones often. Whatsapp definitely works, but when it comes to the data it can be REALLY slow! Texting and calling works perfectly fine. I would say the battery can last 6-7 hours with fair use as in texting, calling and watching a few yt videos here and there. 💗💗💗

I'm a samsung girl all the way, but their both virtually the same. You will only tell the difference screen wise, and the quality looks a bit better on the samsung folder. You will only tell the difference between the two side by side. Of course, the camera is definitely better, but I don't really take pictures, so price wise... I would stick with the LG folder as a "regular" consumer.

I just searched up 'kuromi wallpaper' in Google on my samsung and 'inuyasha collage wallpaper' for the LG phone.

Which one has an earphone jack 🥲

Thinking to buy smsung galaxy folder 2 since my lg wine only had 8gb storage and 1gb ram.the best for a moment but get slower day by day.need clean up or turn it off for a better experiance.the best for whatsapp,massaaging and call.but samsung will be much more better

Hello! Just out of curiosity, what's the latest Android version that you're able to update both phones to? Because when checking apps in the Play store, the minimum supported android version for some of the apps I would like to use on the phone (like FB lite, because I'm planning on using all lite apps on the phone) is Android 8. Hi! The andriod version on these phones are andriod 6-7. It varies for some peoples phones for some reason😮‍💨

@@nananajiglo.2743 Thank you so much for answering! I'd really appreciate it if you can confirm then if lite apps like FB lite can be used with the phone. Considering that Messenger is an irreplaceable app here in the Philippines because the older generation talks mostly on FB, it really informs the choices of Filipinos like me. That one is really hard to find. I've seen it on the web a few times like ebay and Mercari, but they go for $250-500...

So bascially, If you want a lowered budget phone whit a nostalgic feel that you can acutally use for everyday use, Take the LG smart folder If you prefer quality, but you're willing to loose on audio jack, take the folder 2
