世间的爱情往往是初时美好、暮时暗淡。人到中年的司马相如移情别恋，面对屡教不改的丈夫，失望至极的卓文君决绝写下字字深情，却字字诛心的《诀别书》。诗词直指人心，让司马相如羞愧不已，从此收敛贪念。他们最终携手白首，隐居山林，成就了一段流传千古的爱情佳话。
The lyricist of the piece "A Letter of Farewell" is the talented Han Dynasty woman Zhuo Wenjun, and the protagonist of the story is her beloved husband Sima Xiangru. Later on, pianist Deng Yao composed the piece as a vocal work, with joyful interludes, but the core of the lyrics is sadness. One can't help but wonder, "Why is such a cheerful tune called a farewell letter?"
Love in the world is often beautiful at the beginning and dim at the end. In her middle age, Sima Xiangru fell in love with someone else, and in the face of her husband's persistent behaviour, the disappointed Zhuo Wenjun wrote the "Farewell Letter", which is a letter of deep love, but also a letter that kills the heart. The poem is so heartfelt that it shames Sima Xiangru, who then curbed his greed. They eventually joined hands and lived in seclusion in the mountains and forests, achieving a love story that has been passed down through the ages.
