Can you pl tell me why did hyundai discontinue the imt variant . Earlier they had imt variants in venue,i 20 and creta but then hyundai discontinued its imt variants . I dont think so it was because of poor sale of imt variants coz on the other hand kia is having a decent number of imt buyers .I personally liked the imt

It is because both Hyundai and Kia have the same parent companies and Hyundai just wants to make sure that imt buyers should concentrate on kia rather than Hyundai to increase the sales of kia.

Got for iMT... 120 hp is enough for mountains for the car of this size. Just make sure you don't keep your car in gear at traffic lights or long traffic. Only engage the gear when it is necessary other wise the gearbox will heat. iMT is successful in traffic and on the highways. There are a lot of car manufacturers in India using 1.0 liter engine including Tata, VW, Hyundai and Maruti. Kia and VW is far ahead in terms of reliability and mileage. Just go ahead and buy it. I took the test ride and getting the delivery tomorrow. The way this review is done shows that the guy is not experienced in understanding that not all engines are made for one purpose, some are made for pleasure riding... 😊

IMT is best in diesel due to high torque so no need to change gear frequently as required in petrol engine. Note diesel is 1.5 turbo while petrol is 1.0 turbo.
