As far as i'm concerned, we should not be eschewing meaningful relationships - romantic or otherwise. I say this from the perspective of a hermit-adjacent introvert in my personal life and a therapist in my professional one. Social engagement is an important co-regulatory process that fulfils us as human beings. Its just challenging and immensely frustrating to wade through the f*ckshit to gather this gold.

I'm not even dating but I'm gonna be terrified when I do decide to take a dip in the cesspool. Especially since dating apps are going to overtake "the old school" way. It just sucks that we as women have to be extremely careful since there have been even more murd3rs following encounters on these apps lately. The dating pool is more like a gator-packed swamp imo!

If you have the resources and time to do this, check out “singles” clubs in your area, I heard it’s where single people can get together, they have all kinds of group activities like zip lining, biking, rock climbing, wine tastings, boating excursions, etc and you get to meet people without so much pressure in a safer setting. I don’t know how effective these programs are or the caliber of people that signup but even if you don’t make any connection you can form meaningful friendships. Dating apps are turning into “wine, dine, smash and dash” even though their profile says “looking for a relationship”.

As women, we should have a game plan and use good old fashion common sense,... My rule is I am not meeting anyone unless we have gotten to know each other over video chat/phone calls for a period of time, and genuine interest has developed. Rule of thumb: everyone's a liar until proven otherwise.

  • @DouglasBurton

Yeah, the apps suck, they're basically designed to keep folks stuck using them. No money in actually connecting people just stringing everyone along. Then on top of that, if you're pretty attractive, you become the product so even less incentive to help you exit the app. They are very tiring.

I've noticed that the term "high value man" is predominantly used in the black community and that's why it's been used ad nauseam... Black men have typically been the least likely to be successful by comparison to their other non-black counterparts and because now that they've gathered enough coins ( a small amount of them) it seems as though they're overcompensating for both time and lack of funds. The era of the high value black man is becoming well... nothing. The reality is that non black men don't typically tout about how "high value" they are although their "high value-ness" surpasses black men in general. The "high value men" term took off because black women were trying to figure out how to get high value black men, and that was a large part of the problem. I've noticed whenever black men get a little semblance of something, they tend to be able to hold it over black women's heads because black women accept black men when they have the least and value them most over any other life form, even their own children. So here we are as black women feeding into another engine of a vehicle sent to destroy us.

Great video sis! I am glad you are out here dating because dating nowadays is a mess and the amount of foolishness you have to deal with is ridiculous. Tell them sis! Fresh and Hit is an absolute mess these men are complete liars, abusers, womanizers, and just down right ignorant. I really cannot follow black mens logic they uphold Patriarchy and Mysogny because it gives them this false sense of power and allows them to cast down their frustrations and anger down upon defenseless black women and children, but what men fell to realize is that not only does this system harm black women and children, this is the same system that makes a mans worth contingent upon being a provider & protector and if you are a dude who can do neither of those things you are automatically seen as worthless and not an actual man. I also find it strange that dudes consistently try to devalue people based off of trivial ideas. Gentlemen just because a woman dresses a certain way, looks a certain way, or carry themselves in a certain way does not decrease their value. As human beings when we are born we all have value and nothing can take that away away ever. Now for dudes that do this on a daily basis please understand that you is doing the bidding of (Respectability Politics) which is a system that is inherently racist, if you think that you have the right to disrespect somebody because they don't present themselves in a way that you deem appropriate is problematic. Instead of attacking black women for existing y'all need to be deconstrating the system that has conditioned you to be something that you is not. We are disrespected by people because we are black it has nothing to do with how present ourselves. There are so many women who are modest and these women get disrespected, harmed, killed just like women that they claim is too provocative. Its the system not us. Secondly, the whole concept of high value man does not even exist. What do black men own that makes them high value? On social media i see a trend of people adopting words in order to create elitist groups that they can then enact to exclude people based off of their own foolish preferences. People do know that the term High Value was actuually created by an Asian man and he established this term in order to describe men "who have economic power" I need these dusty dudes to sit down and stop! Instead of going to school, working, creating businesses, or investing in properties they would rarher sit on the internet and live a fake lifestyle while their living on their woman or mommas couch.

Ok, today must be my lucky day 🍀🍀 Watching my Favs on super bowl halftime show, then getting a notification that you uploaded a video, and on top of it, MENTIONED me in your video. Girl, I can't help but think it's a damn good lucky day😁🤣 Loved this video, I didn't know you had a Patreon. Why I didn't know I'm not sure, but checking that out now.😁 And I'm glad didn't waste your coin on those CT shadows. I returned mine. Terrible😵‍💫 Agreed, Danessa Myricks cream shadows are amazing 👏 Thanks for the mention, have a great week❤
