I ended up buying the controller! It’s been like a week since I on the controller and I’m having no issues. Heck I even bought three of them. I even experimented testing light or tad movement on both control sticks using the Nintendo Switch controller testing feature and it registers great! I’m also getting another GameCube Controller, the OEM kind just to be sure if the controls are accurate or different as well- and to play smash.

Thanks for the review and recommendation, exceptionally useful compared to the others.

You could probably use start as a buffer between inputs on the madcatz controller so there's time between button presses

I've found the xyab 3rd party controllers are the best I have used outside of the OEM controller.

I just ordered one for my orange spice GameCube! I don’t like beating on the orange spice oem one. Would rather keep it in good shape

The xyab controller is good and all but you can literally click the entire d-pad and the sticks are kinda stiff

Any GameCube controller will work on a Wii as long as your Wii is one of the older models that has the GameCube controller ports.

I have controller brands from cirifer on Amazon those are amazing but they all got sold out they were that good

mine broke after trying to swap the joystick with my wii nunchuk and now when i press any direction sometimes it thinks im pressing down and another issue is the joystick is way to stiff oh yeah i got it like a week ago

Yeah the stiff stick is why I reccommemded the pelican controller

I once had a third party Nintendo 64 controller that broke in 3 days!

Macros aren't tournament legal. You could di out of situations like getting grabbed in an instant, etc.

@@junovicz I literally only used it to play Mario Sunshine, Thousand Year Door, Alien Hominid and Killer7. It worked well.
