Yeah those two were big coming up when the cover was being announced. Idk if I would say it was label mistreatment for Charles Hamilton though. He probably was the first rapper to lose traction after a viral video. And lol I would say Lil B & Krit both should be there but for opposing reasons

I'm from the Bay and even I can admit that K.R.I.T. shits on Lil B any day of the week. K.R.I.T. is the dopest rapper of the last 15 years, he just ain't cut out for the main stream. I never heard anybody slappin Lil B's music in the hood. Cool dude and everything, he used to come into the dispensary I used to work at a couple times a week. And I was the only one that used to recognize him. BECAUSE NOBODY LISTENS TO LIL B IN THE HOOD!

@@rayedmonds6108 last 15 years? Rocky? 21? Carti? Uzi? Mac Miller? Lil B is in that list too. I'd throw French in there and then the last three are a toss up but I'd take Blu, Charles, and Drake. Those are ten artists I put before Krit. I think people said the same thing about Denzel not being mainstream material too but Denzel is corny. Krit has some nice stuff I heard. I'd definitely pick him over J Cole any time. Not a top 10 pick though.

That comment about “missing out on Tory Lanez” almost caused me to burst out into laughter. 😂 Yeah…..We missed out on him being a freshman. That’d be like if there were a R&B/Pop equivalent of XXL’s Freshman classes and someone said that we missed out on having Chris Brown as a freshman especially after the legal trouble he’s gotten into. Tory and Chris are folks where they both likely wouldn’t deserve said crowns. I’m willing to bet the Breezies will get butt hurt by what I said and I don’t care.

I think we can all agree that 2015’s class has aged like spoiled milk with only two of the freshman having any good bars during the cypher (those two being Tink and Raury). The rest of them varied with either being disappointing or terrible with them cyphers. Idk how their freestyles were since I haven’t heard them in awhile.

I know of Dej Loaf because of Spectrum Pulse discussing her in some of his videos and I only know of K Camp and OG Maco because of someone discussing one of their songs. I’ve heard of Vince Staples but sometimes confuse his name with Vic Mensa’s name.

2009 class shouldve been higher they set up the blog era the fact u said cult followings and dont mention charles hamilton at all is wild alot of recent bias 2009 was the class of artist getting hot from the mixtapes created they own following through their own blogs and mixtapes alot of misses in this list....but 2009 deserve more respect

It wasn’t till summer 2013 when Mac Miller produced his album that people was checking for him. By that time Ian Connor had collaborated with GLC, Bun B..toured with Krit, had a Don Cannon hosted tape, & worked & signed to Dre. Rhapsody is okay but at the time (and maybe still now) nobody was checking too much from her if the song wasn’t produced by 9th. Wasn’t till Mac Miller took her on the “Incredibly Dope Tour” and showed she was more versatile other than the NC scene

Joey's mixtape run was nuts Flatbrush zombies go in Big krit imo needed better management And Wale What did he do to stand out ? Nothing He really did feel like a generic post kanye rap star. And the market was too saturated to continue that.
