    Hello from the US...Missouri to be exact. Have really enjoyed watching your channel! Been an enthusiast of Holden and of course the ford falcon for 40 years! You do fantastic work and it’s super neat seeing your awesome automotive heritage being kept on the road!

    Hi Graham , I have found that the leaf spring centres on Falcons are the same right up to the bf falcon, and as you said they are only wider from the spring centre bolt to the outside flange of the housing. I have used these diffs shortened about 53 mm a side in my XY's. I believe early Valiants are close, if not the same, spring center as the falcons also. The AU, BA, BF s/w and ute diffs are a cheap strong alternative to the over priced 9", with disc brakes to boot. Cheers from NZ mate, Phil.

    Well done again on the Subs rising to new heights ! I agree that is a lot to cut out of a body on a rotisserie , but I guess the positive of this is its great to see you get such a clean body to begin with, blasted primed and new repair panels ! this will be interesting to see progress .

    Great info on the torque boxes and how they go together, I have an XR that I’m finally getting back on the road after 19 years. I’m going to put it on a rotisserie so I can get stuck into these areas. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this XW progress. I’m really keen to see how you brace the the car for the sill work and how those wheel arches go.

    Yes mate, it's an early - mid XC air cleaner. The later XC's had the smaller charcoal cannister (same as XD) which didn't use the spun aluminium hose receptacle which fits in the hole further around from where your finger's pointing at 23:17 Load of grey motor stuff there we need to get our teeth into!

  • @xacoupeguy

    @xacoupeguy

    3 жыл бұрын

    i thought it had the extra ally hose. its been a long time since ive seen a complete original engine bay with one fitted. i'll probably leave the extra hole in the air cleaner. and im probably going to put together a pallet of grey holden junk together this week and get it ready to send your way very soon

    Once you cut the old rail off, could you separate the rail halves, repair the dent and weld it back together to save the cost of buying a new rail section?

    Technically if it wasn't a write off you could but because it is a write off it must be repaired the way the factory says too
