    Bought a pair based on this video and used them last night for a luxury client event… OUTSTANDING! The client even mentioned they’ve never seen a neater/cleaner dj setup (practically no wires visible with speakers spaced across 2 floors and wide spaces). Thanks for the recommendation!

    Great review mang! Yeah, I've been using them since the beginning of the year, I believe we chatted about them a while back comparing them to the Sennheisers lol, but one key reason why I prefer these Xvives, and is something that you forgot to mention, is that if your gig is going for over 5 hours and the juice is running low on these devices, you can actually charge them up while they are on and keep the party going! Yup!, but you'll have to buy a couple battery packs with extra micro-USB to USB-A cables to plug them in or plug them in directly to the wall with the cables on a 5V USB power adapter. I used them this past Saturday for a private party but the gig went passed 5 hours and the juice was running low on all four of them. Luckily I purchased 2 extra micro-USB cables with a pair of battery packs to plug the receivers directly into each battery pack that I gaffed taped to each speaker, and the transmitters to a duo USB power cube and that kept the party going!! (because yes just like you, I'm trying to go completely wireless to make the load outs faster! lol) I'm just disappointed that if I had just waited, I would have gotten them for a lot cheaper, I paid about $299 for the pair earlier this year, and just like the Air-Force One's, I had to buy two pairs! lol But my ROI has been great with them! lol!.. I'm also a big fan of them. Oh & one more thing, as long as you keep them in line of sight with each other, there are hardly any dropouts with the signal! Love the Xvives U3's! Sincerely, #MyDudeTheDj.

    Bought some and tried them. They worked great! They will stay in my backpack to be used as needed. I have a dedicated wireless system when I know ahead of time I need to go wireless but these will be used if a situation arises where running wireless makes my life easier. That is of course if the sound check goes great. 2.4ghz can be tricky at times.

    Yes , been using these for three years, and for longer gigs they work plugged in, you don’t have to rely on battery. I have got 6 hours on battery as well. Also I will use a 10ft XLR to get a line of sight or get around a corner, and when I plug a transmitter in a speaker out for a daisy chain, I will do a short 3 foot XLR out of speaker and lay on top of speaker so transmitter isn’t blocked.

    I've seen these products on Amazon before, and i was skeptical on the sound and if the signal range would be any good on these, but they seem to really good from your testing. One thing tho i would like is, if i was using these on my main speakers, 5 hour battery would not be enough for me since most parties i dj, go for about 7-9 hours, but its cool to be able to use any mic you want and make it wireless.

  • @djcar5181
    @djcar5181 Жыл бұрын

    I had these and sent them back after one use because I was getting some interference when I placed them around a corner, behind what may have been a cement pillar. The dropouts would happen as people were blocking them. Not a lot, but enough for the guys at the photo booth to catch it when I asked them about it. FYI the sound quality was perfect when it worked. I was using it as a satellite speaker during reception for dinner music and speeches because the room was configured weird and this helped for a more even sound. I'm still on the hunt for a more prefect solution but I may give these another shot. When I originally got mine they were about $200, so yeah that's a great discount right now. Also, Judging by the comments whereas a lot of people have had nothing but success, I'd appreciate anyone giving me a few pointers for best results when using these. Thanks.

    I would stick with the G4’s,, Although I haven’t tried the Xvive before, I have used a similar set up that transmitted through 2.4 before and when the room was empty, they sounded great, once the room filled , I was getting drop outs and this was from around 30ft away.. I ended up ditching that set up and buying the Sennheiser G3 but modified the body packs so they accepted a small power pack so I could plug them into mains and have them powered at all times.. I have modified all my powered speakers so they have a built in outlet in them as well and the power packs plug straight into them.. Never had an issue with the G3’s and I can place them upstairs/downstairs away from my controller (which have the receivers plugged into them) and still get excellent reception..

    Has anyone had any issues of audio drop outs once guests fill up the room. RF interference from cell phones, etc. That’s my main concern before I pull the trigger on copping a pair of these.

    Suppose if I wanted to extend the range further, say, a speaker 180' from my board. If I ran a 100' XLR cable out of the way and then used this to cover the last 80'. Would that add to the 5MS delay? Unaware if anyone has tested in this way. Just curious...

    I need to set up a 2nd speaker at my bar gig about 60 feet away from the booth. Because of the bar layout, running a XLR cord across the bar isn't feasible. Is there a delay in receiving the signal? I'd hate for one speaker to be 1/4 second behind. I could run a pair of X VIVEs into each speaker to make sure, but just wondering if anyone knows of a delay?

    Question to anyone. On a mixer with 6 microphone outputs on it. If I have all mic lines with mics in them, and a xvive in a line out on the mixer going to a powered speaker, would the vocals AND music come out of the mixer into the speaker, or would only the music go into the mixer? In other words, does "everything" the mixer is doing( music from any input like a laptop or dj controller AND all the mics) come through to the speakers? Thanks for for any answers!

    I've had a similar situation, where during an outdoor ceremony about 6 people lined up between the sender and the receiver which was only about 15ft away. The sound was constantly breaking up. I thought it was because of the mobile phones people where wearing, since the XVIVE's also work on the 2.4 GHz band. Haven't used them in critical situations like this ever since.
