I really like his acting but everything I've watched so far shows him as the wolf in sheep's clothing would like to see him play a hero!

I liked him actually. Somewhat a villain, but not that bad. I would have preferred they did not kill him and see more of him in season 2 ... His love for the main leads sister is quite touching, it is a very strong cinematic move to make him die by her hands ..
If you looked at it closely, LDD’s character in Sword Snow Stride made him a victim more than a villain. He was a pawn used by the evil eunuch. He was the bad guy who we actually felt sorry for. And that’s what made it even more meaningful that he sang this song “In This Life”.

I totally agree with you! I watched him in the Joy of Life and like him as an actor but I want to see him play the good guy for a change.

I first noticed him in The Rebel Princess. His character in this drama was another one who you hate to love. A good thing about him is that he has a nice voice and makes it forgivable for all his “villain” roles 🙂

He ain't bad at all. 他只有一個太監作後援，軍師，師父，相比除鳳年一大班精心隨從，到最後輸的是勢，不是人。 他甚至是一名心地善良，愛恨分明的人又懂識時辨勢，其機靈绝不下於除鳳年。 至古如此，每個成功的人都是被一大班人塑造出來。 所以寄語年輕人，必須要work hard to play hard, 每個環節遇到人和事，都正在打造自己。

I would agree but more of a willing "victim", there are many instances where he could have retaliated but chose not to...because of his love for that girl.
