The slightly out of sync kit does make sense in-universe. Xu Fu really does want to help Yu and loves her, but doesn't fully understand what she wants. Yu appreciates it though. And Xu Fu gets closer than most as she understands Yu's desire for death. She just didn't understand that Yu wanted to die to reunite with her love. Her immortality meant she was forever seperated from her love. Which is why her kit is perfect. It is ALMOST a perfect fit. 50% battery. NP damage, Star gen, heals, Crits, NP gain, and Buff removal protection. It just fumbles on the card type. If they were to buff Xu Fu to the other card types, I hope it'd be tied to an interlude where this detail of Yu's love is explained and Xu fu gets the complete picture.

Somehow, i just now realized that xu fu having buff removal resist on her battery is for the Yu sinergy

She has her value. "Can't support Yu Mei-ren" is obviously absurd, given that just by virtue of having a 50% charge, a Servant could support mostly anyone, but it's not a prime support either. Her value comes from the fact that she is a 50% charger (for Yu), with some level of damage; utility; consistent star generation; NP gain; and an extra buff to her Arts card that is already amazing, at the cost of a 3*. The main problem is that by the end of the day, damage is king-specially for a Servant that severely lacks it-and when compared to the superior supports, she will be lacking on this regards. Basically, if you can bring SSR more expensive supports, Xu Fu will hardly be a better option, but if you need to optmize the composition thinking of cost, she is for sure the best support of her cost. I say that about the Assassin, whom I have at Lv120 and NP5, the Lancer I didn't give enough thoughts.

I think the point of the video is the lore behind guchan and Xu Fu. Now it's obvious she's not Castoria that tends to be a more generalized support than others, and the arts buff also acts different with its trait so you can also use Castoria in buster comps. Ideally for quick, there's Skadi. Now Xu Fu is not bad and sometimes given her cost is actually a better option even if it means losing the support of other top tier characters.

XuXu has insane value per cost. Now she’s best for arts in the same way Merlin is best for buster. I think Xu’s one weak point is her NP, which really only offers stars in terms of party support

Imagine they fixed her by giving rainbow buff on S2 just to make her actually compatible with both Yus, would be funny if they do 😂

​@@rdwn1999guy above you makes a great point. Making it only availble to Yu-senpai fits well with the rest of Xu Fu's kit. She also have buff removal resist for the OG add the 50% battery and all thats left is a universal steroid and she would really cement herself as the ultimate Yu simp 😂

@@gonnacry3278 They could also make it a rainbow and just increase the numbers Paisen gets by like another 10%, or if they are crazy, a full 30% for a 50% rainbow buff for Yu only, this would also give Xu Fu synergy with Yui.

Xu Fu, despite not being able to support either Yu’s card type, is still pretty good. What people need to get in their heads is a few things. One - During most main content they can just get a support from the friend list that supports the card type of the Yu. For Merlin you get even more healing, for Skadi you can more easily get her NP charged for those enemy NP turns, and for Koyan you can offset self DMG and give yourself a bit more survivability. And those are just the main card type buffers. Two - Xu Fu’s lower cost, class affinities, access to buff purge resistance on a skill, and the fact she doesn’t need a CE to still be useful, opens up a lot more team building options. This is especially more important in harder content where you can’t run duplicate servants or have access to the friend list servants. And Three - Aside from her 3rd skill giving giving the Yu’s a 50% battery, Buff Purge resistance, and a NP DMG up, thus allowing you to run CEs you normally wouldn’t be able to run (depending on the fight, append skill levels, other supports available, your Mystic Code, etc.), the rest of Xu Fu’s kit benefits everyone. Debuff removal, NP gain up, Arts card performance up, crit rate down, and crit stars. Every servant likes it even if Arts is not their main card type. And if you are using either Yu as your main dps, the other supports you bring will benefit since a majority of them have decks that lean more towards Arts and the ones that don’t benefit from the increased np gain on their quick cards. At the end of the day people complaining about Xu Fu not being the “perfect Yu Support” are dumb because these “problems” can be easily solved by a little bit of team building. It’s not rocket science people. You can make Yu and Xu Fu work together. You need a bit more help in getting the damage numbers you want.

She can. But she'd support her better if she matched her card type. Arts Up only does so much wgen you have ONE Arts Card. In BOTH of Yu's forms.

I am Paisen User and Xu Fu still a great support for Yu-Meiren and besides being an Arts Support that Xu Fu is able to still support Paisen like how this video shows. And with Summer Senpai where Xu Fu's Noble Phantasm generates a lot of stars so Paisen can crit especially with Summer Paisen's 3rd Skill.

This is too rng based. If the enemy took a different action then yu meiren would have taken out already thus breaking your momentum. Makes me wonder how many tries this took or you're just lucky it worked.

The lancer Yu run was the first try. The assassin one took around 4-5 tries, because I tweaked the team a bit. That was also because if you start with 0% charge and you are a buster servant, the first few turns are very important. The longer you go without your first NP, the less worthwhile it was to bring BG instead of a CE with starting charge.

Xu Fu is a bad support for Yu Mei-Ren
