Underestimated One Direction. And BAMN, one direction totally wiped the floor with pretty much all of the other contestants after X Factor wrapped. They never came down from the top. Not in the 8 years after this, not even when they went on their hiatus. There solo gigs are still wiping the floor with the rest of their previous fellow X-Factor contestants. Even during the competition they wiped the floor with all of them except Rebecca and Matt. Just goes to show you should never underestimate people.

i love how theyre all talking about their favs and the best they think is gonna make it and they mention one direction once for a split second, but out of all of the contestants they've made it the farthest. they have a MASSIVE fan base and are popular all over the world whereas the rest aren't

It's funny how Kelly Rowland will be a judge a year later in the UK and 2013 in the US. Mel B will also be a judge four years later but will appear as a judge in the Australian X Factor for the next two years.

***** They weren't stupid. They just weren't a very good group. They never properly gelled together. They sang like four solo artists. Always trying to out-do one another, which isn't how a group works. Lot of immaturity as the show went on. They basically weren't marketable.

***** Oh lol. That is true. But One Direction were a better group than Belle Amie regardless of the young girls voting. They had chemistry the girls lacked. I could tell Cheryl and Dannii wanted Belle Amie to stick around cause they saw the potential in them. The girls could just never deliver.
