XTERRA PRO/ MY HONEST OPINION😒😒😒

Ойын-сауық

Through out the time I have used this detector I have now came to the conclusion it Needs to be Fixed. This is Crazy.
Most of my viewers from the start of you tube videos and others know I am a clad shooter. I have done very well with other Minelab detectors and other Brand detectors. This one here.. Well Just watch the Video .. You will hear my honest opinion..
Thank You all for who has been with me from the start and who has joined the channel over the past month. But you all need to hear what I came to terms with..
Best Of Luck and Happy Hunting.. PEACE.

This detector is awesome!!. I have owned them all by Minelab. I have the 800, the 600,Vanquish 540 and now have the 700 also. In a park this week the X-Terra hit a 12 inch deep Revolutionary war button and my 700 would not touch it. I was running in the 10MHZ frequency. If you listen and learn the tones you can definitely find great stuff. This revlutionary war button was found in a park that has been beat to death for 40 years. Keep Digging! I highly recommend it!

@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin I'm finding out that it's not a just a grab and go Detector until you get it setup for it and I used a piece of iron and one setting it gave me the iron grunts and 66 ground balance Park 1 and another one said it was a good target and zero ground balance on Park 2 on the same piece of iron and the rain has come last night and We got 2 1/2 inches of rain last night and it's raining here again and the super deep Targets will be found 👍 but I think it was a lack of moisture and I'm sure that the X-Terra Pro is a totally different Detector than the other Minelab detector's and everything else that I have ever owned and yes the buttons that are there to help but it's a little more than I'm Use to using ( detector) and the just turn on and go with it type. But I made a change and it told me that the piece of iron is good and I went back and To the original setup and rejected the iron and once I get it figured out watch out and No MORE Bottle Caps and the Simplex + Loved them and Now I wish that I still had them to get the X-Terra Pro dialed in.... and Seriously to bad that you sold it and one change of Settings either goes great or messes up everything else but that's why we buy a different detector to find the Targets.....

I will tell you this if you're digging a constant 94 or 84 on this machine you're going to be pulling up trash every time. Not sure why you're doing it. Your quarters come in at a very concise number 89 90 and dimes at 79 80 81. If it's not doing those numbers keep walking! The only numbers that are not all over the place are coins so if it's not a stable number of a coin that you know with a high vdi don't even waste your time. It's trash. Also in 15 khz only when you hit a bottle cap there is a noticeable scratchy tone or double hit tone which is not on 5 khz or 10 khz. It's extremely difficult to tell if it's a bottle cap

You need to watch other people's videos first; you can tell by the plugs he was digging that he is pretty new to metal detecting. I'm also thinking he is a Garrett detector user; he had his sensitivity turned down to 15 looking for the shallow junk targets, the good targets are deep in the older parks that have been hammered over the years. You have to dig all the deep targets don't give up on a target, that is where the Minelab's shows you all the hidden treasures. It's a deep seeking machine. Sorry for being brutally honest, have been detecting for 40 years.

I don't even use the VDI numbers on the high end machines because they're unreliable at best, a small piece of trash can vary the VDI numbers dramatically on good targets so the only way to know for sure what's there is to dig it.

@@PAPAROUSwhatsinthedirt Thought this detector is for people who wanted a turn on and go. A simple to use push of a few buttons to get them on and gone to start digging good targets. It is not a friendly detector for a beginner. or someone who wanted to upgrade to a newer detector.

So I will say that you don't like the X-Terra Pro that much but the X-Terra Pro info also says that any changes must be also ground balance and the ground will change All the time And the noise cancel but which one is supposed to be first but What's on Second Base😂😂😂😂 Sorry Had to Laugh but Did you have the Horseshoe button on to tell you that it's a JUNK target ????and I seen that you tried to do a quick Press retune but you held the button to long and it went to the change the settings of the 6 settings and not the retune 11:13 like I tried to tell you but it's a Very Quick Press and Close to the Target and the Garrett Carrot has a video of them doing the Retune and Very Very Sorry that you are Struggling with the X-Terra Pro but ground conditions are all different All over the world and maybe try it again with the Horseshoe button on and I have seen others video that would center the targets and then slowly moving the Coil close to you and hit the edge of the target and They would get the iron grunts but you didn't have it on to hear it and ALOT of the Targets that was found I was very skeptical of them but yes some of them did sound good but also a couple of them had the double beeps which is the best sign of Junk but also not the real solid Numbers that you Did with the air test but also If Minelab would Sell the X-Terra Pro with Some Headphones 🎧 it's going to give anybody a better chance to hear the difference between the targets and I hate the Simplex + but it has headphones 🎧 and you can hear the difference between the targets and you possibly need to use some headphones and detect with them and mark the targets that makes you think it is a good target and then go back and take the headphones off and then hear the difference sounds of the target and sometimes they will sound different but having the sound source at your ears is different than the Road Side noise and Wind and trying to hear it. But definitely needs a Update Or Something....... well oh Danny Boy the next time you go back to detect with the X-Terra Pro don't use the headphones first do the Detecting first time with out the head 🎧 phones and Mark the targets that sound good to you and then go back over the Target's with the Head 🎧on and see if you hear anything different Tone's and do that before you ever dig it up and it's different having the sound that close and you don't have to Film it but just for your knowledge and I'm thinking about going with the Equinox 900 cause it comes with 🎧 but I haven't watched any of your Videos with the other Detectors that you have besides the X-Terra Pro and I will be there watching, ...... later

You said a mouthful I am glad you kick a laugh or two from my videos. But no I did not have it in all metal. Never had to with any other minelab detectors I used. or any other brand detector.. All I know is there is something wrong with this detector and not just a user error. Thanks for being a good commenter.. Peace

@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin well I added more to my original long story but I will say it here. The next time you go detect add some 🎧 and go detect and mark your Targets and then put the 🎧 on and see if you can hear the difference between the sound and the little nuance that each target will make but having Road Side Noises and Kids Playing and Wind will be different than having the sound At your ears and the world is shut off and I'm possibly going to be looking at the Equinox 900 now cause of the problem with the X-Terra Pro that your having and it comes with 🎧 but that's ALOT More Coins To find And can be done but possibly a year or two but I found that much money for the Simplex using the Teknetics Detectors and no 🎧 and ALOT of Trash was dug but using the Garrett where every target sounds good no matter what I heard and found junk and you don't have to Film it but it's just for your knowledge and taking your time to distinguish the sound but I have fun with Detecting but I don't Film it yet but I want another Detector and I don't have a assistant with me to help.....

@@carolrice2063 I am lucky to have Talisha film when she can. I try to film myself sometimes it comes out good other times it is a lot more movement then I would like. But I get by. I hardly every use headphones. and I have done good over the yrs using other metal detectors. I could give the Xterra Pro more runs over grounds. But not after this video; I can not .. as I have tried other things others have said. But bottle caps ring up in all ranges Can slaw all sizes pieces. Just my honest opinion. I do enjoy the hobby, been digging for 10 1/2yrs. Thanks Again for your comments.. Peace

Well I have been metal detecting for over 50 years and Headphones 🎧 do work for the little nuance difference in targets sounds and At the Start of using them , I didn't like the cords and it was always in the way, so I length them out and could use it and always Had to put them down the detector on the right side and A bunch of stuff Reasons why. And now they're wireless and No MORE cut up cord's and getting caught up on everything, But they do work for What I'm talking about and after you have heard the target Tone's with 🎧 and the same thing without 🎧 you will know more about it but what do I know , I only started to use the detector when I was 10 years old and A Radio Shack detector and you dug everything but once I got a new Detector that Had a jack for the 🎧 and the difference between the sounds is almost night and day and Watching you struggle with your Detector's and I don't live anywhere close to you too help but do love the Tone's of the Minelab detector's and I watch ALOT of the British videos of different models of Minelab and They do Dig everything and I Cherry Pick here and can tell the difference between Junk and Great Tone's and I have Even circled ALOT of target's and not dug them up but having a Great Detector and Not Using All the Buttons Or Features that It has to Tell You What is good and you found a Sweet Tone and I would be interested to see what the Horseshoe Button Says About the target before I spend alot of Time Sweating 💦 Digging up another Junk Target and that's User Error and Use the detector and All it was made for and after 50 years of Detecting, I'm going to use all of it's Buttons and I don't have the best Detector's to play with, like you have and the internet wasn't around when I started to use the Detectors and no Stores where close enough to go to try out anything and only Magazine's and Commercials and Garrett Was in ALOT of those back then.. but to not use the detector for every button that it's capable of telling you what it's trying to let you know what target is a junker then you might need to go to the ear doctor appointment 🤣 cause your not using the buttons to tell you more information about the target and Or you can't tell The difference between Targets sounds and ALOT of target's that you dug where to Me to decide are Junk and you can hear it, some were double beeps and some were longaited Tone's and Yes almost perfect VDI but just a little Off And 🎧 will tell you more information and you don't have to make a video of it. but 11 years of Detecting versus 50 years of Detecting and I'm still learning and how to listen to good advice And I will always try it and see if it works for me and nobody is ever perfect and like I have said before Use All the Buttons and you say that you like to push buttons but don't with this detector Or anything else you have and, WHY Not when it will help you out with the targets and keep you getting the Good Stuff 👍 🤞...... 👍

@@carolrice2063 Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 no head phones and with headphones. Wife used Bounty Hunter Jr simple turn on and go detectors. We learned I do see what you are saying But there is something wrong with this detector and it struggles way to much on targets deeper then 3 or 4 inches and more so in the grass/parks. I am not the only one in this hobby who feels that this detector needs a wicked good update because there is something wrong with it. But as of right now I gave my honest Opinion. knowing it might upset a few and I might loss Subs and Take heat for it.
