It definitely helps the body last longer. If you’re very hard on your xmaxx you’ll still kill a body eventually but it prolongs the life of one for sure

Shoe goo is on Amazon everywhere rn. Grab a bunch of u need it. I prefer to use Gorilla tape heavy duty black. Works better than shoe goo and makes it strong. Really strong. Had it on my kraton for a year now with minimal damage to body. Try it out if u wanna make ur bodies last.

Will do! I actually have a huge roll I have been meaning to try. So you just tape it without anything else over it? Does it stay in well? I mean that stuff sticks like crazy so I guess so lol

@@2fmrc yes just tape and no glue. It works well but wears ur hands out after a while. Shit is strong. Lol. It does make the body a bit heavier, but on my xmaxx it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Make sure body is clean and have an xacto knife close buy and just take ur time. Is the whole cage aluminum? Or is the cage plastic?

I dunno about this, you don’t think the Tbone racing unit is superior? Lighter, connects to only the body so no extra pins to mess with and not as expensive.

It don’t seem like there’s much to it. I feel like I could almost just reinforce the body and almost do as well because it ultimately just relies on the body itself. It may work well though idk. Just seemed a bit weak from looking at it.

I don’t have an xmaxx but I’ve run the exo-cage on 3 of my trucks including my K8 and absolutely love their products. Their stuff does sell out quick. I waited to run my brand new solar flare Maxx for about 6 weeks until they restocked the cage just because I didn’t want to mess up the body lol. Can reinforce a body all you want but the outside is still gonna get thrashed. Obviously the cage you chose or the Tbone will protect the outside though. Just less to fiddle with.

Have you had a chance to bash with the cage on?

Oh yeah! It works amazingly well! One of the best things about it is the body don’t fly off every 5 minutes lol. So far it’s been great!

@@ronbutler2322 yeah the pins are a little annoying but much better than the body flying off all the time. If you’re jumping and bashing hard it definitely helps with saving the body and chasing the body when it flies off lol

@@G35Jeesh I haven’t broke mine yet lol. The body still takes a little abuse underneath it but so far the cage has held up. I haven’t drove my xmaxx much lately but I did put it through some major abuse for a good while lol

Take the cage off and line the body with Gorilla tape.

I like the cage. Keeps the body on. I’ve lined them with shoe goo and tape and all kinds of stuff. They still pop off when I launch it 30ft in the air and don’t last long lol
