As a drone pilot, I have no idea what is going on here. How is this being controlled, what is the physics behind this... What the hell is going on?

It's a collective pitch helicopter - instead of changing the direction of the motors like a 3D quad does to go upside down, it changes the pitch of the blades while the speed of the motor stays pretty much constant. That's how it moves so fast, since it would take way too long to change the direction of that huge prop
