xiumin and mark are so different from each other in the studio: minseok is calm, pretty quiet but cute and making his notes and comments quietly and stays still between takes as he records. mark is energetic, always moving, has a lot of banter and reactions as he considers how to best record. together, it's really such a great sonic haven.

@U.R. It’s not about them just doing their job. If you watch behind the scenes videos from Western artists, you will probably notice that not everyone works similar to Xiumin’s style. Some are more laid-back and flexible, or on the opposite extreme - see Ariana Grande recordings - she really gives her own input and makes the final call on a lot of stuff. But within this video alone, you can see how different Xiumin and Mark work (not saying one style of working is better than the other). And if you compare recent members’ solo activities - Kai’s/ Suho’s behind the scenes for Peaches/ Grey Suit, it’s also very different from Xiumin. As a relatively new fan of Exo with D.O bias, in the beginning I never really noticed Xiumin much. But with all the content from his solo album, I’ve really come to appreciate his talent and personality. I’m very much an OT9 bias at this point and it’s very interesting to me to see each member’s individual approach in making music.

One thing about Mark is that he always wanted to give his best in everything he does, same goes to his Xiumin hyung, thank you so much for giving him this opportunity to be part of ur new album, the album is amazing, thank you for the great work. Also my fav part is when they had little chat together just talking about things such as hobbies and else, thank you!

What makes this collab so great is both Xiumin and Mark are both detail oriented, they want everything to be perfect and both hardworking. The end result is a masterpiece.

LOVE all the ways Minseok chose to use his voice in this track! It's a little different than anything else I've heard him do. And of course, going back carefully and trying bits again until he likes the sound of it. Seriously, the way he just so calmly is excellent at so many things! Wow Mark is just the cutest! and letting out his EXO-L at 11:14 (Xiumin grinning at him is me! So cute!) You could see how much he wanted to do his best for his hyung's album. And re-writing his lyrics on the fly to see if he can include a hint of EXO and NCT...

And Mark wearing 7dreams' friendship ring everywhere is just soo precious💖, Their friendship ring looks like a nail that's form into a ring hahahhaha

One thing I love about Neos is that they give their 101% into the song it shows their passion about music that they're not just idols who do what they're told to do, they give their opinions to add a certain style,even the newer members like Xiaojun in MAW, I just hope they keep this energy till the very end and grow even bigger Also Xiumin's vocals are so beautiful and love his interaction with Mark

Why is this so much better in terms of editing because in NCT's behind the scenes, they aren't as detailed. Or maybe Mark is more comfortable with this nuna that helped with the recording? Because I haven't seen this side of him in a long time. Seems like he enjoyed this session.

"child" is a much more serious and personal project from the meaning to the song itself. and i really enjoy that hes both serious and silly in the recording booth, and i can always tell hes in his element

i like the rapport xiumin had with the producer/vocal director - she always praised him, but was very precise in her direction, and he was very meticulous in what he wanted out of his vocals and worked hard to get there, regardless of how many takes he had to do. also, minseok is soooooo cute when he replies to her, his tone is just naturally so full of brightness and cuteness, what a cutie.
