A lot of people writing in ask about whether these cars can be upgraded. I've converted a few of these mid-grade cars to brushless to good result. In most it requires replacing ALL electrical parts (motor, esc, and servo) as most of these use 5 wire servos which are not easily converted to 3 wire. The "clamshell" battery holder this uses limit the size of the battery you can use. Models that use 18650 li-ion batteries on each side have trouble delivering enough current to the brushless motors...I've had a number of 18650's destroyed, drained down below the point where they can't take a charge. An easier way to increase speed is to change the pinion gear...but make sure you know what your doing or you'll be sitting with some toasted ESC's and/or motors. Just increasing the voltage in brushed systems has usually ended up burning up something (or everything) very quickly. Toy and mid-grade systems are designed to get everything they can get out of the cheapest parts that will do the job, so pushing them just ends up destroying something. Lastly, realize that upgrading mid-grade stuff doesn't usually make much sense..unless you have a lot of extra cash and enjoy messing around with things. A $75.00 car with $75.00 worth of upgrade parts won't ever be as good as a car that you can buy for 125.00...it's still basically a $75.00 car that goes faster. The more expensive vehicle will have better parts all over, handle better, take more of a beating, and last longer (the numbers are just for example). Hope that helps!

They now have an updated version that has oil filled shocks and a larger compartment to put two batteries in at once of the same battery. The shocks as they are suck.

To fix the shocks unscrew top of shock and put a spring from ballpoint in and tighten it up all fixed

It can do donuts even being 4x4? I don't see the front wheels spinning. Any thoughts?

GAproductions would need new esc's motors gearbox etc...so yeah probably but its not practical

When both lights are static, I believe that the green light flashes when charging and goes solid when complete, the red is power I think.

Is this the same as the HOSIM 9125? What's the difference between the two as they both look the same? thx

Probably. These Chinese toy companies often sell the same product under different brand names.

Already owned mine 2 weeks and ordered 2x 390 28000 rpm motors and 115mm foam filled wheels. Tested the rc car with a 2s lipo 2200mah 35c and it goes significantly faster but nowhere near 46km at best 33kmh with the stock motors

GearBang Yes they are and I've had it connected on a 3s briefly it ran for around a minute with no problems not even heat coming from the 60a esc

Did you say 4600 km per hour ??? that would be REALLY FAST. I'm assuming you meant 46km ph.

I would recommend to replace the motors with 30-dj01's. It will have more torque and will spin the wheels on dirt in slow mode.

Can I use 3s lipo with this rc car or i will make it burn?

It does have a 60A ESC which suggests that it might. But I don't know the max voltage for the other electrical components. So trying such might be risky.

Amirul Syakirul Try a 3s 11. 1v if you wish but use the throttle moderately I only ran mine for a minute on 3s and was OK barely any heat from the esc but can't guarantee a full run

Amirul Syakirul Esc is 60A so theoretically it can handle a 2s 7.4v lipo up to 60c burst rate

I need help!! I just bought this RC and drove this 2~3 times. Somehow I can not move the switch to off in my RC Body. Dust got in or something jammed very hard inside the switch part. I am afraid that if I unscrew the body, I might break it. What do you suggest me to do make it work?

Hello. I hope someone could help me. I recently got this truck: XH TOYS 9125. It works great. It's amazing. Great beginners truck I think. But happens that charging AC/DC adapter brokes. Both + and - wires are damaged and are without isolation at total beginning of cable. The question is, if I can use some other AC/DC adapter? I have a lot of them. This one which comes with truck have specs Output: 10V and 800mA. But I have some available which have Output: 12V and 2000mA. Actually, the charger that comes with that car is not the best. It's balance charging capability is questionable, and may actually damage a battery with repeated use. Would recommend taking this as an opportunity to get a better balance charger. I have high quality/price balance chargers, but I almost always using the following cheap charger for its simplicity and effective balance charging goo.gl/TDG4Cc

But I don't know if is possible to charge also Li-ion batteries with this one. I have some of them. Thats why I wish to have also some spare Li-ion charger. Cos this one from this truck is written that can charge also Li-ion batteries. Thank you for great tip that Charsoon DC-4S 2-4S is also good charger. Didn't know that before. (Y) Most people recommend expensive 50$ chargers or even more.
