The Xiaomi company presented in European countries a new gadget for a smart home - the Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro camera for monitoring children and pets.
The model is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera that shoots video with a 3K resolution (2880×1620 pixels) in HDR mode. There's an ultra-low light mode for color shooting in low-light conditions and an IR illuminator for crisp black-and-white images in total darkness.
The lens can tilt 360° horizontally and 114° vertically, providing a full view of the space. If necessary, the camera can be closed for security and privacy.
Xiaomi C500 Pro also received a microphone and speaker for two-way voice communication, support for dual-band Wi-Fi and fully encrypted data transfer with additional cloud storage. The Mi Home application is provided for management. In it, you can set such functions as motion detection, noise alerts and customizable monitoring zones. In addition, the camera supports work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants.
The price of Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro is 70 euros. The camera is already available in France, Spain, Germany, the UK and Italy.
