In this video let's unbox Xiaomi's new budget phablet and take a quick look...
There are 2 variants of the Redmi Note available...
1. The dual sim 3G variant powered by the Mediatek MTK6592 Chipset that houses 8 Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz each coupled with an Mali-450MP4 GPU.
2. The single sim 4G variant that's powered by the Snapdragon 400 Chipset that houses 4 Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz each coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU.
Both variants come with 2 gigs of RAM.
Though the internal storage is only 8GB, the Redmi Note has a micro SD slot for memory expansion.
It has a 13MP Rear Camera capable of capturing 1080p video @ 30FPS.
It sports a 5.5" 720p IPS display with a 3200mAH user replaceable battery...
The Redmi Note currently runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean with Xiaomi's custom MIUI v5 on top.

good work! actually it's a nice phone (using it myself), though it is quite sad that xiaomi hasnt released the android 4.4 version of miui yet (still running 4.2.2 with miui v5). maybe its because of the mtk, but other phones (jiayu) have alrdy received the corresponding update. maybe u can tell us also a bit more about this aspect in your full review?

Hi Ashley gr8 job But also do provide in each review the details 1.user available memory and 2. application memory For each and every phone be coz all the phone are budget phone. And budget phone have restriction on application memory. For example I hv a micromax a117 Magnus with 4gb but the application memory is only .99gb and the rest is not useable for application installation. Further can u also guide on how to remove this restriction of application memory constraint from my phone. Thanx a ton fr gr8 reviews

C4ETech hey bro! Will the dual sim version of Redmi Note receive KitKat and Android L upgrade(too much of expectations)? Is the octacore version more powerful than quad core version?? Coz both have the same cortex a7 cpu cores and Mali 450MP4 quadcore GPU performance is similar to that of the adreno 305..

the backlit keys are not as dull as visible in this video, i used this phone in full bright cloudless sunshine day 3pm noon time, the backlit keys are bright enuogh........just an observation......... and the phone in my operation was pretty lag free smooth including newgames like temple knight etc etc. and 267 ppi is hardly making any difference when it comes to normal use unless and untill u r a photography and design and editing line person........

In your full review do tell us about the battery drain issue of this processor........ I heard this mtk processor drains battery very fast.... Nd is it worth the upgrade from redmi1s to note ....
