The HD+ display that not giving HyperOS are both a miss imo. More than flagships phone, it's Xiaomi's budget phones that need HyperOS. It would be a gigantic difference to have a clean AOSP (and not Google's Android) based OEM ROM with fresh code and so none of the bloat that MIUI has accumulated over the past 10 years has the power to breathe new life in Xiaomi's budget lineup. It's really noticeable. I removed MIUI from my old 7k redmi phone and installed Pixel Experience Custom ROM and it's now twice as smooth as earlier. AOSP based ROMs are serious business.

Basically the base source code of Android (which is open source and the code is available to everyone) with none of the Google code and app bloat that Google's Android (that other companies make their UI from) has. It's basically the "actual" stock android, with no extra shenanigans on top that companies add themselves. ROMs (or UIs like MIUI and OneUI and all of those) that are based on AOSP (so none of the company UIs but all of the Custom ROMs like LineageOS and Pixel Experience) are always smoother than ROMs based on Google's Android. Xiaomi's new, presently China only OS, called HyperOS, is completely built from scratch atop AOSP and not Google's android, and thus has considerably less bloat. Not to mention that since it's built from scratch, it has none of the redundant code that MIUI has accumulated over the years. And hence it's way more responsive and consistently smoother than MIUI. Hope this helps :)

I agree. Miui is still fine in mid range and flagships or phone with good processors. But Budget phones with budget processrs suffer a lot. Miui is really heavy and phones struggle to keep with that. I am currently using Custom Rom on my Poco F5 (Miui is well optimised on it) but still after flashing custom rom, it feels much more smoother.

@@dontknowwho2007 I used my ₹7k Redmi 8A for 2 years. It got slow as shite and so I got a new one for college work (making assignment PDFs on a deadline on that Redmi was painful). I gave the Redmi to my younger brother (he's like 14), he used it for 9 months more and then it got so slow that it used to take 10-15 seconds to just unlock. It would've gotten scrapped or sat in a drawer and ultimately turned into E waste but I flashed the Pixel Experience ROM on it and now it's smooth enough for day to day tasks that he can use it for a fair while more. The phone will turn 3 years old in like 6 days and has a lot of life left in it. The hardware really doesn't go that bad, it's just that the software starts failing it.

This Redmi 13C has lots of competition with Lava Blaze 2 , Xiaomi is still behind them to beat, Lava Blaze 2 has better display with punch hole , clean stock android, 18watt inbox charger, with home service, also lava sells this device under 10k of the base variant

Looking at specs it should be priced below 10k to become a truly VFM proposition, otherwise Redmi 12 5G is a better option.

I believe 12 5g would be better deal than this, considering display quality and design (punch hole) and also snapdragon processor (which have longer driver updates) and decent camera. If people don't prefer chinese but still want 5g in budget, then you've got 1. Samsung m14 or f14 or A14 5g 2. Lava blaze series (they are making good phones these days) 3. Moto g series for clean ui experience (even though its Chinese its still somewhat clean 😅)

they should make budget friendly phones smaller! Smaller screen will use less battery so a smaller battery size will not make much of a difference! Also they don't use a great quality screen in budget phones so a small screen will look better with lower resolution content! Small phone will use less raw material ultimately lowering the price! Then they might give us a actual 18 watt charger then this gimmick.

Beyond 8 gb, whether it is virtual or actual ddr ram, it probably won't have any difference in Androids. And with poor ram management for most budget phones, the extra virtual ram just seems like a new numbers game to me. Regardless I think the 13c 5g would be a great option in budget.
