Not everyone or should i say decent users are not familiar with professional camera. The Xiaomi do generate almost or equal quality compared to professional camera such as dslr. Love the fact it handles good shadow and highlights which a good base for user who love to edit later. Yes it's not for everyone because nowadays users prefer heavy HDR results and directly upload to social media.

This video for me I like xiaomi.

Can it be that the Xiaomi 14 has severe focus problems with both the UW and the main camera sometimes? Just look at buildings in the background and text on signs or the marquise at 1:20 and 1:25. Only the tele-zoom camera consistently delivers properly focused images on the Xiaomi. This is also quite visible in the direct comparison against the Pixel 8 Pro done by Phandroid.

Its true that iphone has a sharpening post processing but it is also more detailed compared to xiaomi.

Does is have 50MP mode for all lenses? And if so, is the dynamic range / highlight retention the same in 50MP mode or worse?

When you are shooting video, there is no button to jump to other lenses but there is a slider to zoom. Starting from .6x you can slide to zoom up to 2x. And starting from 1x you can slide zoom to 6x.

Overall, the iPhone was better, but not by a wide margin, and depending on how important the camera is, the Xiaomi 14 would be fine for many. I would still go for the iPhone for its consistent overall camera performance. Price-wise, they are similar to the iPhone 15 Pro at £950 and Xiaomi at £850. I suppose it comes down to whether you are Android or iOS (Apple ecosystem). It is 2024, and finding significant differences between similarly priced phones is now almost moot.

Xiaomi 14 pro is very similar with camera and it's china only while regular 14 is global. Why use the 14 pro when no one else in the world but china can buy it.

It should be iPhone 15 vs Xiaomi 14, and iPhone 15 Pro vs Xiaomi 14 Ultra

You compare to Xiaomi 14pro. Don’t compare onley Xiaomi 14 to iPhone 15 pro. Oky.

@@BLAKEEATS1988 yes i know because, I take a image from Oneplus 12 which looks like DSLR color is accurate but it image is soft, and then i increase the sharpness in editing and I'm quite surprised that result is too good, only thing I saw that in iPhone color science of image looks like warmer side and anyone can easily understand that this image is taken by iPhone while on the other hand the image of Oneplus 12 looks like actual dslr because the color of images is mind blowing
