Leszek, is it possible to take a better photo by appropriate settings of the camera application in Xperia? If so, could you show it? All of youtubers only show photos from auto mode, but the main feature is their application.

Because it is not sharper. Just has macro shot capabilities and in photos I did not notice any differences in many shots

Can you compare battery life on xiaomi 14 pro and magic 5 pro? On some tests xiaomi 14 pro beat s23 ultra, wich is close to magic 5 pro, can we trust those tests?

Not really the Mate 50 Pro is still a beast. Only if you really really want Leica Filters and portrait effects. Otherwise wait for some newer phone

Have they downgraded the camera on 14pro vs 13 pro? I understood previous Podel had 1" type sensor and this is 1/1.3? It's not imx989 anymore?

I saw a video quality comparison between Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 14, but if i remember correctly the 13 pro had better main video quality while the 14 had better selfie video quality, but i see that they score the same in your list. But doesn't the video quality score only include the main video quality or they improved the video quality in updates on 14?

Honestly honor magic 6 pro has considerably weaker cpu performance and throttling issues than mi 14 pro and find x7 ultra which I'm worried about. Idk what to buy now....

@@lltechview Wow! Thanks for replying. That sounds perfect. So once you are in Portrait mode there is presumably a focal length selector? Just bought my mother a Xiaomi Redmi note 12 pro and it only has main cam focal length available in portrait mode mode. So it got me a little worried...😟

14:44 I think the factory-installed screen protector on camera lenses may have caused the halo and the diffraction spikes on the light source.

It makes the photo look worse with fully opened aperture. At f/2.0 it looks better but than it takes less light in than the normal Xiaomi 14 with larger aperture.

Both good devices. Just like the Xiaomi 14 a slightly bit better as I think the main sensor tech is more advanced there. the variable aperture on the pro is a first for Xiaomi and you can see it.

I only tested the Xiaomi 14 and briefly had the Pixel 8 in my hands. Wouldn't pick the Pixel as its micro stutters are noticable and disturbing. The iPhone 15 Pro I did not have yet.

UW, like 5g? I'm sure, that it beats even the 14 Pro Max when it comes to 5g, maybe you have a bad connection, because you can check the comparisons between the HM5P and it's one of the best out there.

It's never been impressive with any of the smartphones with UtraWide cameras, but I'm sure that the Honor Magic 5 Pro is better than the iPhone 14 Pro Max with UltraWide cameras. Because the Magic 5 Pro maintains balance, reducing the quality of UtraWide, meanwhile 14 Pro Max is not and even can mess up or even, a little much brighter up the scene, so It's kinda of hard to get good quality from UtraWide cameras, but maybe in next year will everything change. I hope so.

i dont think 14 was a gpod upgrade over 13 pro 😮

I bought xiaomi 14, all good except the playstore cant download apps when im connected to my isp, OS updated, playstore updated, cleared playstore data, reformat and even hard reset and problem still exist, but when i use vpn, it can download apps but very slow. My isp is working fine, it can still browse and load videos on youtube using xiaomi 14. Only thru playstore and my isp is the issue.

One possible explanation for main camera sharpness difference would be in that aperture of the lens: Faster lens is harder to design for as good correction of optical aberrations and also in general requirements are harder. So non-Pro's f/1.6 could be simply sharper lens.

Have started looking for phone with better battery life and modern cameras to replace Galaxy S8 and with scarcity of reasonably size high end phones non-Pro would be very interesting alternative to S23. Sony is playing itself out with lousy short support for premium prices and all that cutting of cameras: Xperia 5 III had zooming telecamera, 5 IV downgraded that to fixed shorter telecamera and latest 5 V removed it completely!

WHERE IS THE FRONT CAMERA TEST? Who would ever Selfie vid with the main cam anyway, without seeing yourself???
