agreed. seems like it was only samsung and asus that was doing this and now xiaomi has joined in. i have a regular s22 because i prefer small phones than huge glass slabs in my hand.

All brands should come back to flagship features and quality packed in compact phones. For a few last years they only sell flagship tablets. 6.3' is perfect size

Does anyone have problems with camera fogging (going from warm to cold or vice versa)? It's got a good camera, but how is it as a phone, call quality, battery life?

So this is Mi 14 global version ? Seems the dock deck is different than Chinese version.

Not correct about the log video format Joshua, it's a feature baked inside MIUI, not the phone, I'm typing this on a cheap and old Redmi Note 9S and it has log format support in the camera's pro mode.

What about ads, mui glitches? Slow running. Did you experience this? Thinking of getting one but the above keeps putting me off. Great review btw

@@tharindudhanushkatennage502 Hi, so the battery life is great. It definitely lasts a full day, if you're not planning on filming a bunch of 4k or shoot thousands of photos. The camera (app) uses a lot of battery but otherwise it really lasts very long. :)

Gotta be straight i feel little reason to upgrade from the 11 ultra. especially now that i can take videos with the back oled on making it a perfect vlogging phone and it's still such a great device. I still compare it to others new high end phones and there's next to no real world difference.

@@Alin-yb1zl it's a shame, 14 seems perfect for me, but this fog can cause corrosion inside. And we all know how manufacturers treat water damage. Gonna have to postpone getting a new phone for another year. There's nothing really worth getting at the moment.

@@woyttas some people say that they resolve this with sim tray out and filmming at 4k 60fps for a long time. I try that, I try with rice....nothing worked, I will try to put the phone with silicagel, my last try to fix. If that dosent work I will return it. This is my second xiaomi 14, so all have this problem.

I bet the phone got a good personality

The Xiaomi 14 is larger and heavier than the Pixel 8, which is by no means a small phone. Aside from being the smallest in the 14 series, what exactly about the base 14 is "compact"?

WEIRD, but first-- Thanks for the great video. I'm just writing this in case you didn't catch it, there was like a weird chromatic aberration?? I think it's called around your face and hairline in this. Not sure what video editor you used or some different settings. Just point it out because it was so bad it was really distracting to me.

A 6.3 inch screen is "compact" now 😂 I really like this phone but I doubt it will work as well with US bands if it's an international version only.

You should talk about foggy back camera issue! Xiaomi mi 13 , mi 14 , mi 14 pro have foggy camera issue! I don't recommend to anyone to buy this models.
