Can you tell me if the 14 series has the option to use a full screen wallpaper on your AOD? This feature came out on the iPhone 14 I believe, and Samsung copied it to their S24U lineup. I have this on my S24U and it's one of the things keeping from switching to Xiaomi.

The fullscreen dimmed wallpaper option? That is not available. You can set a part of the AOD to be your wallpaper only. Huawei and Honor have this feature as well. (even got it quicker and Samsung)

Well, wondering does this update do something to the camera module getting hot while taking photos or videos, thereby inducing fog on lenses. Or, would the fogging issue be resolved... Well, my poor device is unable to do photography in even a slightest cool breeze... I'm unlucky..😢

@@amllemans Fogging issue an hardware issue. Like moisture kept during assembling the device. As it is water proof the water is not coming out. So you need to let it dry with open SIM bay for the moisture to go out.

@@Crawshaw69 Leica tries to emulate the Leica look with vignetting and not so much sharpening applied. Master mode is Xiaomis take on portraits without vignetting and sharpened up photos.

@@lltechview i think im going to hold my self for the Z70 is expected to be released in Q4, right now i think most phones are too expensive like Vivox100 pro, oneplu12 and oppo find x7 pro. the average price in mexico is around 1000 USD to 1200 USD

Very nice update. To me the main issue has been blurry images in very low light when zooming. And this has been replicated in reviews out there. The culprit being long shutter speeds, so should be fixed in software. Could you check this? Thank you so much for the coverage!

I checked it out but did not notice any improvements there. However indoor shots when it's a bit dark outside are fine and nicely quick and fast.

@@amllemans it makes a huge difference even in normal photo mode !! like night & day difference ... i was going to send back my phone till i figured out this option ,, when set to face all photos with human subjects looked like dead ghosts ! after setting it to average it's top notch !

Update now available for global 14 Ultra here! Interestingly, not a word of camera improvements in release notes. Just system optimizations, bug squashed, oh, and better tactile sensitivity for the Calculator app ...

Thx for those informations. So I have to wait for the Update with my Xiaomi 14 global...

It would be better if they update the camera sofware to manage the overexposure. I feel like when there's present of light on human or subject's face, it tends to overexpose the light🥲 and another thing is the battery life. Mine is awful with just 3 to 4 hrs😢

Xiaomi supporting the Chinese versions well while abandoning the Global ones again it seems. Selling my Global 14 Ultra - buy the time it receives any useful updates, there'll be new, better options around.

They're not abandoning the global versions. Global versions always receive the updates later. Sometimes significantly later.

@@LordAngelus I know it's the way it's always been - but Global is soooo much later, they might as well not bother. Fine for lower cost devices but personally I'd like a £1,300 device to be supported better.

Unfortunately, xiaomi 14 global and europe is stuck on may security patch and i seriously doubt that an update with these fixes will arrive anytime soon. Truly dissapointed in xiaomi, they have failed me in every way possible, i wont ever buy a phone from them again.
