Vermillon is definitely still the best set for Xiao. Due to its versatility, you can take Bennett with you or not and it still works well. The new set is better only if Bennett is on the team.

Yeah. Vermilion is the best for Xiao but if you have already built him prior to the artifact (and even farmed afterwards but luck it rock bottom) don't worry and stick to current artifacts

If you take Xiao, you take Bennett, any other options makes less power and usability for Xiao, cause if taking Zhongli without C6 you die anyway

I'll farm for the new artifact set for sure, but I'll definitely keep the purple mask with xiao. Bosacius will always be with him :) (Plus im excited to see it na xiao works. It would be a waste not to use them. Imagine the hilichurl trying to atk him suddenly SHING they got chared atk FOOM immediately got stabbed back down onto the ground then xiao go boink boink with his nas. Ha, satisfying )

But for 4pc desert, i suppose it's important to keep the atk up to 2300+ for sustainable high dmg, cus unlike 4pc vermillion it doesn't give atk buffs If you already have nice stats for vermillion, it's alright. It's just that my artifact luck sucks and i want to try NA

Props for fair testing.

Vermillion set is probably the reason for Faruzan’s kit design of buffing anemo dmg and anemo res shred.

Desert pavillions meant for normal attacks not plunge attacks. Think of the +40% plunge attack on 4pc pavillion as a cherry on top.

The newest set is pretty much scara’s signature artifact set. With anyone else it’s good, but not better.

ATK on Xiao is so important. Maybe include Glads+Vermillion?

you should have done also a 2 and 2 piece atk but the rest of the vid is really good,never change your format its really helpful

if your team xiao with bennet or sucrose ttds go for desert. but if your team xiao with faruzan or geo team (zhongli, albedo, jean) go for vermillion

Yea I'm pretty sure desert is gonna pull ahead if he runs attacks buffers like bennett. But if he runs c6 faruzan,vermillion will deal more plunge dmg.

@eiji if you want maximum dmg from E skill then of course it is for C6 haver. And why you need burst? Because c6 still need to do some plunge before you can use unlimited E

This, plus especially against single targets many people prefer to use Plunge + CA, and though CA wasn't tested in this video, it's safe to say that should be way stronger with Pavilion than Vermillion.

New set is still better if you are usually using him with bennett. Vermillion provides the benefit of not using bennet(the amount of ATK can be made up for it) though id love a propee geo healer so we can do 2 anemo 2 geo with faruzan 💀

The thing with VH is that if u are doing dmg showcase wait 4+ seconds for max stacks without risk then u could get those 48% atk bonus.

My xiao has staff of homa and 2pc gladiator and 2pc Anemo flower stuff thing and he does 30k+ on ult and on his e he does 22-25k+ dmg

Even if it's better I'm gonna stick to vermillion cause my 4verm/1vv has my crit ratio 74/212 I believe 👍he's my best character atm and I can't wait for his rerun

It stacks over 4 times arriving at 48% atk buff while the desert set increases of 40% dmg and its also consistent so I think desert one is the best one

@@marcocartaerainnocente7374 Not really, the damage disparity over the 15 seconds of burst equates to a bit over 10-15% extra damage buff. On the side, Elemental Skill damage is not increased which leads to even more of a DPS decrease (up to 5-8%?) if you use both skills near the end of the burst.

I'm going to still stick my with 2-Pc Glad + 2-Pc VV

@@ArnoldFrost Well I was thinking of farming that domain since I also have ayayo so it's a win-win if I get both set, but at the moment he still has 2-glad 2-shimi but I also think 4-glad is better than my current build

at this point getting 4pc set is purely a huge resin sink. unless it's a set for a support where you don't care for substats like 4pc VV, DWM, or ToM then its best to use whatever 2pc flex you got that's relevant to the character.

Oh well I haven't started artifact farming because I just hit ar 45 yesterday and wondering domain I should go for my Xiao. Dessert pavilion it is because I also want to make hyperbloom team with Nahida and Raiden

I know the vermilion set is best for Xiao, and i farmed for agss for that set but got always artifacts. He niw basically runs on gladiator and his dmg is amazing! 😅 Im still farming Vermilion to this day. My luck sucks

Tf is better than gilded in any team comps, tried both at c0 with scarlet sand my tf build 478 em 75% crit rate 234% crit dmg 6/10/10 does more dmg than 440 em 76% crit 240% crit dmg. Also in aggravate with fischl with elegy and nahida with her signature the first one puts way more dmg than the gilded one also tf gives you no cd in Hyperbloom and also more energy. Especially in single target scenario the first build is 25 sec faster then the gilded one so anyone who wanted an answer I gave you one.

So you need wait until xiao use half of his burst duration? For buff? Dessert: only need 1 charged atk bruh. And You can have buff forever, if u manage just CA every 15s. Without losing energy and any weapon can use.

If you’re happy with the dmg you make then I don’t see a reason why you should but if you really love Xiao a lot and want to maximize as much as possible the vermillion set is a go to. Again if you’re happy with what your current Xiao does don’t worry about farming a new set. It’s definitely good ❤

Most It's depends on stats of artefacts

I dont want to say the video is bad but there are some things people should keep in mind 1. *Most important information* If you pull xiao BEFORE the vermillion artifact release OR you already have realy good* artifacts for xiao it is NOT worth the time and resin to farm a different set for him because the dmg is here and there higher yes but unless you dont want C6 xiao (what is totaly a waste) the differents in hits you need per kill is almost every time the same doesnt matter what artifact you use so dont run in next domain only it does more dmg if the result is the same 2. The dmg in the video is with a jade speer + a crit ratio of around 70 / 150 keep in mind that if you farm a new set you will not get every artifact how you want it aka like i say if your set is already good you should think twice if you get similar artifacts from a different set also not everyone use jade speer or have it (i have jade but i use homa) 3. If you dont have xiao or your builds are well... "trash" than farm the strongest set for you In my case im a day 1 player so i pull xiao on his first banner that means the set i use is 2 VV + 2 gladiator because it was the best set you could have back than In the time i was farming for raiden i got 2 godly pieces from shimenawa that also was the same parts as my gladiator so i switch the parts and got homa in his rerun. Since then my xiao have 70 / 260 with 2300-2400 atk Long story short : his build is so fcking strong its more or less impossible for me to get similar artifacts from e.g. vermillion so i dont even try to farm them for him

I would say no if you call me rude for calling him not worth to C6 C1 and C6 are his only "good" C's 3 and 5 doesnt count because literally every character increase his E or Q with 3 or 5 Xiao's C4 is trash because you dont even get hit 90% of the time so what do want with more def if you use e.g. zhongli for anemo shred + shield or you use a healer C2 sounds usefull but isn't even a real help because in his team rotations his Q is just full, other people have some ER on him, I have him with C1 and base 100% ER and can use his burst everytime, except for some bosses in the abyss 12 if they are there but the energy that my xiao need for his next Q for this boss is not less enough to say C2 would make a differents here aka no need for C2 Back to C1 and 6 C1 is fine it helps to get your Q back without having good ER + his passive for his E dmg works better with it if you care to use it It is not a musst pull but its worth so i can recommend it C6 give you 1 E back after a plunge atk in his Q if you hit 2 or more enemys with it + you can use 1 E for free without thinking about the cool down That is good and bad Good because you want to use his Q anyway so thats not a problem but 1. You need C6 (obviously) 2. Its useless against most bosses or "stronger" single enemys because there is just one enemy so you cant trigger C6 The "problem" with xiao are his C's you play him with C0 or C1 or C6 that means you only pull C2 if you want C6 BUT every C you pull before C6 and after C1 doesnt realy do a sh*t for him and its not like everyone wins every 50/50 in his life so you probaly lose at least 2-3 50/50 (average) So you need 9 or even more 5 stars for a character that have 2 trash C's and a C6 that doesnt trigger if you fight single enemys / bosses Yes he does more dmg but the fact that after C1 he isn't noticeable better for 5 constellations is a joke and keep in mind the 3 Q lvl is his C5, thats a increase of 13% dmg that safe you 0-1 pluge (without C6) depends on the enemys you fight Long story short : The dmg a C6 xiao does more than a xiao with C0 or C1 cames from his C5 and the combination between C3 + C6 Nothing realy special Compare his C6 potential with other charcters and you will notice that most characters are better than him without having C6 aka they are way better with C6 than xiao ever could I dont care what characters people like, love, fck or what else they do with them, everyone can play and pull what they want *BUT* if everyone call C6 xiao *worth* you musst be insane if literally whales say its not worth *YOU* can C6 who ever you want but please for god's sake stopp defending your fcking characters like this if more or less everyone on this planet knows the truth about them It doesnt make sense just accept the facts wth

@@xero3148 depends on external buffs though to be honest. if you have too many atk buffs (bennett ult, ttds, etc) and youre running vermillion, it might be better to balance stats out and run more anemo dmg sets. vice versa as well (too much anemo dmg from set or supports = better to run atk set). honestly id wait to see more comparisons, going to run some tests as well

Would Xiao's signature set be better even with Bennett and Vortex Vanquisher? (got that thing instead of Hunter's Path lol) Because even with how Xiao works, so much ATK seems like it will be diminishing returns compared to another set, or maybe am i wrong?

Not exactly. Note that Xiao's A1 passive is another source of ramping Dmg% (which is what Desert Pavilion offers) and ramps up the longer he stays in burst form. By using Vermilion Hereafter's ramping Atk bonuses and that Dmg% source Vermillion will pull ahead. Desert is decent, but I genuinely see a lot of unnecessary backlash against Vermillion when the Bloom set is comparable as well to 2x EM + 8p and 4pc Gilded (Gilded even having a non-gacha source of Dendro res shred)

then just use glad + vv :)) my xiao has a godly stat at 73 cr, 272 cd, 2.6k atk due to my atk goblet since 2.5 patch and still hit 70k with zhongli and bennett buffs. I don't think I can get any better vermillion set on him that is better than those
