Saludos...
Beautiful woodworking.
It is always very enjoyable to watch high professionals/masters at work, even i'll never reach to such a level, I will try to make things better. Thank you for uploading.
This gentleman has forgotten more than I could hope to ever know about woodworking. I didn't have a clue what he was saying, but I didn't need to. Just watching him work was mesmerizing. A true master at work. I throughly enjoyed watching him.
PERFECTO,MAESTRO.
This is good !
Way too good !
Would be great to have subtitles on this one. (Best would be manual translated. The automatic ones on the first part have been "interesting")
Very nice. The wood is very soft, like butter

not my usual japanese show, but this is soooo damn good and refreshing to see the art and passion on how you work with wood and its materials. I commend you good sire and I wish you all the best!
Beautiful, great video Arigato
Cuantas personas de sudamérica ! Estoy impresionado !
sou fã da marcenaria japonesa
molto bello
Planing and dimensioning all of this wood true and square is an enormously difficult task this master carpenter makes look like it's nearly effortless.
i think the outer wood is keyaki, also known as zelkova...the inside drawer wood is kiri, a type of paulownia, very soft and light but much stronger than balsa...with sharp tools the surface shines on its own...the finish is traditional urushi lacquer, made from a certain tree sap, in this case applied with many wiped on layers, called fukiurushi, to bring out the lovely keyaki grain...beautiful and peaceful work by both artisans!

fantastico
What type of wood and finish is that? It looks spectacular.
looks lile what we call Tamo ash. very expensive these days. the finish i assume is some kind of shellac or similar from the way he was applying it.
awesome!

What is the strapping that is being used as clamp while the glue dries?
Omedetou !
Legal!
nice
Freaking amazing.
Does anyone know the tape he is using? how about a source for the trunnels (tapered wooden pegs) used in Sashimono
máster máster máster from México.
I believe the finish is urushi.
master!
DEFNTLY RIGHT
Lastly he said, "The features of Edo-Sashimono (wooden products made without using nails) are not rugged looks ,but there is a joint in it, so it is sturdy. It's taken effort for invisible parts. However, this is not art, it is a tool to use at home, so unlike artist's work, I can not spend hours working on production until I am satisfied myself. This is not a work of art but a product of ours, so we will do our best as a craftsman(artisan?) there. I always think about this." Sorry for the long sentence and my English.
Porqué no hay subtítulos en youtube móvil?.
