This is one of my favorite Xiao Zhan performances. The opposing team at the end was saying how difficult the song is to sing, but Xiao Zhan worked very hard to perfect it, and Peng Chuyue harmonizes beautifully.

This were first steps XZ made to enter in entertainment industry, become singer and than actor. This is talent show where boys are competing against each other, they were divided in 2 groups and both groups had 1 mentor. Almost every week from one of two groups, one boy had to leave competition if that group had less points from other. XZ was one of finalists but at the end his group wasn't winner. Also XZ was maybe the only one who was representing both groups cos at some point ha was taken by other mentor to second group, so he was lucky to work with both mentors.😁 That song he is performing with later his colleague from Xnine boy band cos this boy band was formed from boys who got to finale of this talent show. All boys are good singer but in my opinion XZ is best.😌☺️

My God how young he was 😍 not that he's old now but you'll understand what I mean. He has always been very handsome and cute. Fascinating, however you could already see in my opinion from his musical interpretations that he had the facial expressiveness of a very good actor. Essa foi a primeira vez que vi Xiao Zhan 😍. Sim!! Eles se tornaram muito amigos e fizeram parte do grupo 'X-nine'. Ainda assisto muito essa performance. A forma "crua" que eles cantam,me parece linda,me agrada demais;ainda mais do que muitas performances cheias de técnicas e experiência😊. 😘do Brasil.

Yes! You made it! I'm so happy you watched and commented this performance from Xiao Zhan's early years. The show was indeed X-fire, survival in the sense that there were many young aspiring singers+dancers, and they would progressively be eliminated until just 9 would remain to form the boy band X-nine. The guy singing with him, as others have already said, is Peng Chuyue, he is a gifted singer and composer, too, he wrote "stepping on your shadow" from Oh My Emperor, you have made a video on that song. He has quite a personal style in writing and singing, sadly hasn't got much recognition but I really like his work. The barefoot thing is taken from the lyrics, now I don't remember precisely but the sense is "although I stand here barefoot, I will bravely take on what comes at me". And, that said, I feel that's the reason Xiao Zhan chose to sing that very song when he came back after the terrible attacks he had to suffer in 2020. He stepped on stage bravely and sang to the world that he wouldn't be struck down. The first time he was a young singer singing a cover. The next time he was singing about himself. Thank you for your videos and for your passion for music all over the world! 💕

"Survival show" is the term people use for singing competitions like this when people are competing to join a group. This show was "X Fire" and after one of the teams won, an extra poll was given for fans to vote on their eliminated favourites to join the band and XZ was one of the winners from that poll. The boy band "X nine" was formed with 9 members. Peng Chuyue is the other singer and he's really wonderful too. I listen to his solo music sometimes too. @@coffeereaction That performance in red suit is really emotional when you know he's singing this after a really rough time. There are fancams where you can clearly see that Xiao is moved at the sight of the Red Sea (red lights) from all the fans who support him. I think I suggested this one 肖戰時隔四年全開麥實力再唱 too, and then said that the song is at the top of my Xiao Zhan playlist on my channel. 😜🥰

OOh - Xfire... you've gone back to the very beginning of Xiao Zhan Mustafa !! Great news - he is such a talent... and so very very sweet... It was so difficult for him when they were choosing the members of the new group (XNine)... the lady who chose them and got to sign them to the label is a woman called Long Danni - she really didn't like Xiao Zhan... when he made mistakes (and performing/dancing/singing was all very new to him) she really gave him a lot of public grief.... when he was really good she simply ignored him.... she said he was too old... not a good singer... not a good dancer... wouldn't make the group and would never make a living from being an idol..... He was such a good person, he gained loads of fans and he started to get popular.... flick through to now.... she has made money off him for all the years since he debuted in 2015/16... tied him into a contract that expired but he signed again until 2026 - from 2023 until 2026 he will hand 50% of his earnings to her and the company.... I really really dislike her.... and also Yibo's boss from Yuehua entertainment Du Hua .... she also stitched Yibo up for the next few years also.... these young idols need a legal team before they sign for sure..... Xiao Zhan did set up his own studio /agency though.... and Long Danni had to agree to his terms or he wasn't going to re-sign....

My dear XZ signed only one contract, before his debut like all other members of Xnine group, sadly contract was signed for 10 years. In 2019 after bad treatment from his company (Wajijiva), XZ tried to terminate the contract but his lawsuit against Long Dani didn't went as he hoped. He could terminate contract and leave Wjiwa but he had to pay huge compensation so XZ made agreement with LD with new conditions which included that XZ can set up his own studio under Wajijiva until singed contract doesn't expire. At least now he is more independent to decide on what projects he will take but he shares his income with Wjiwa (not sure how much%🤔). Waiting for day when XZ will be free from Wjiwa.🙏😁

Peng ChuYue is one of the team leader in the competition, and our dear XiaoZhan is one of the lead vocalist. In this song Peng ChuYue's role is singing the harmony part. And FYI, the OST of Oh! My Emperor that you reacted last month《Step on Your Shadow》is also written and composted by Peng ChuYue 🙂. Some one had share with you the 2021 version where XiaoZhan sang this song again after 4 years, you may compare both version, see the difference of his stage aura and temperament.
