About the woodwind instrument I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure it's a double reed woodwind with reeds much wider than an oboe. From searching around the closest fit sound wise I can find is a Duduk which is originally from Armenia. I'd guess it's a sample set based on that instrument produced digitally.
