I notice a new insult people have is “they don’t write their lyrics” (come to find out, they had a hand in writing for tape 4 “Xtra XG 36”). The rappers in the group are super young (18-21) and multi talented (near professional level dancers, great vocalists and performers.) We are not expecting them to be proficient with the pen yet while rapping in their THIRD language at such a young age. The fact that their delivery, pronunciation, flows, and tone are so good in English is impressive in itself. They have time to learn how to write and are definitely smart enough to learn how to write lyrics proficiently. Cocona is a very intellectual person, reads a lot of books, and does a lot of self journaling. (Ik this from the blogs that she posts) Things like that will translate well when she starts becoming more fluent in English and writing lyrics

@@RJ171 Exactly and those rappers are usually 30+ years old and don’t even credit their ghostwriters or pay them enough. At least XGALX and Simon have gave credit to most of the writers besides the ones that want to stay behind the scenes. I remember one of Drake’s ghostwriters came forward about him being underpaid and not getting any credit. Kanye is a real one when it comes to this, he never claimed to write all of his music and credits writers. He is still looked at as one of the greatest rappers of all time.

I JUST STARTED the song and I already have to pause to show love to Jurin for shouting out one of my all-time favourite joints "Royce Da 5'9" (and Dj Premier's) - Hip Hop". They just keep showing so much love and appreciation for the culture, it give me so much life. As a hip-hop fan of soon 2 decades that's disappointed in a lot of what it has become over the years, these girls are a breath of fresh air in how amazing they rap and how much knowledge they show in every track.

Not just looks either, she just got such natural charisma. She was born to be an entertainer. She had a fan on lock the first time I saw that face say "Everything I do, I do...." But she slayed this as expected. That lil fry in her voice (like when she says "pedigree" on this) makes the hair stand up on my arm. Simon (the man who created XG) during the documentary mentioned wanting to succeed as a team. Its not only about the girls success, but their whole team (writers included). Contributors to writing this did an incredible job and so did the girls when presenting the rap. They are given context of what the rap and refrences are too. Also, the girls are very involved in the making of their set, styling, AND writing lyrics (as in they are learning)
