You got a follow from me. You spoke the ABSOLUTE TRUTH! XG is a group that respects and appreciates the art of Hip-Hop & R&B! A lot of people (mostly k-pop stans) hate on them & claim cultural appropriation whenever they see fit. If you watch their documentary and hear their backstories, these are girls who have ALWAYS had a deep love for music created by black artists. Cocona has stated all she ever wanted to be was a rapper/dancer, & the other girls mostly idolize & respect black artists. You can tell their love is real & that they're out here doing what they're doing while respecting the art & not making a mockery of it. A lot of people who claim to dislike them, are the same people who will run & give one million excuses when their favorite idols are caught in a racism scandal. It's really ridiculous. At the end of the day, I rock with XG & will continue to do so. Glad you've discovered them & enjoy what they bring to the table.

kpop fans get mad over everything.. they claim XG "cultural approptiate" but if they wanna take it that far.. shouldnt kpop as a whole be cancelled? kpop itself is built on the back of black artists, that including r&b and hiphop so by their ( kpop stans ) standards... everyone in kpop is doing what they claim xg is doing... its honestly a joke atp.

I’ve gotten into a few arguments with people that have said that XG is appropriating the culture but I would always say “All I see from American hip hop artists today is constantly trashing on the culture. Calling it boring, dated, washed, etc. and proceed to show ZERO skills in the booth and talk about booze, pills and cheeks” XG has done more and appreciated the culture more than a lot of new hip hop artists today. Hell, I know a lot of younger gens now listening to old school R&B & HipHop thanks to the influence of XG.

Kpop stans saw a group dancing while singing, rapping and do choreography, automatically they will think that was Kpop even though the Lyrics was English or other language, especially if they performed in Korea 😂 at first they are the one who didn't really recognized what is the true meaning of " Pop "

Thank you for calling it appreciation. They got a lot of hate cause a lot of them haters are saying it appropriation. They don't know that XG paid a lot of respect and homage to hip hop especially the old school. In every Tape they did, they always give credit to the originators and to the hip hop culture.

XG always pays homage, when they use someone beatl. I have to laugh when you ask what they know about bootleg tapes..Even though the were born in the early 2000's all their influences come from the late 90's and early 2000's.. XG girls write their own raps for the Tapes and Xyphers, as well as giving their imput during the creative process on the rest of XG's MV's
