It is truly a girls generation and I am not mad at all. This song... Mascara was such a slay last year, I was obsessed so for this to be miles away better is blowing my mind. Everything about this release is PERFECTION, the song is top tier, absolutely SOTY contender, the fashion, the hair, the makeup, THIS VIDEO, like can we talk about how original and unique it is from the sets to the editing and filming? The people they work with are some of the best in every field, as they should be because the girls are shaping up to be just that as well. Girllll wait until the stagessss ughhhh Also, can somebody pack these girls up and send them to the US to promote on a tv show or something? The GLOBAL appeal is real.

In my opinion only I like that they kept it at the same flow..It’s reminds me of 90’a and 2000’s R&B that doesn’t have crazy changes on the beat..If it did change I would of lost on the rhythm..R&B(Rhythm &Blues)

Very true, I personally don’t mind either but I see why some wanted more. There was only two songs released with this comeback so expecting a more complicated song is reasonable in my opinion. If it was a whole album with many different songs then I could see this song being more satisfactory to some.

everything about this comeback was perfect to me-- CONCEPT, STYLING, RAP, CHOREO, VOCALS, INSTRUMENTAL, MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION.... literally everything! i haven't felt this way about a kpop song in a long time where it's just been an INSTANT YES. i hope the girls get more recognition from this, and i can't wait to see Ola's reaction!!

Yeah I think sometimes he’s used to the Kpop structure of songs that have a lot of different parts added in so his expectation for songs are set at that level, but the song is a nice ode to those 90s-2000s Rnb tracks and did it justice

I can’t even tell you how many times I kept replaying parts ON THE FIRST PLAY. That prechorus was heaven sent and that last lien from Juria got me too! Her delivery there was chefs kiss. And Mayaaaaaaaa!! Her chorus and the visuals! This video/song was such a pleasant surprise today

I havent been so impressed by a group in a MINUTE. The concept, mv, rap, vocals they’re literally everything I agree this is SOTY MATERIAL💫

After I heard the chorus for the first time I KNEW this was SOTY material, that melody on top of the incredible MV, the choreo, the charisma, the styling, everything is is an absolute masterpiece

They popped off and im here for it all. The competition is going to be fierce this next gen but groups better get ready for XG.

I don't know why I feel so happy and proud when someone reacts to XG. These girls are so damn talented and I want the whole world to know that. They deserve more!

Speaking the truth that these girl groups that are coming out in the past year are evolving their sound and concepts of the kpop mold. They are leaving these boy groups in the dust!

It´s my first time listening to them, and when that chorus hit, I knew it was SOTY, hands down.

Finally someone who appreciates that side angle/body roll part😩

This group blows my mind every time. They are about to change the game.

No cause shooting star was literally everything I needed from styling, choreo, MV and SONG no I need MORE from these girls Also Jurin and Cocona such STARS. I also love Jurias vocals and man Harvey Even when she doesn’t have much that girl can play to the camera

The thing about XG, which sticks out to me is their confidence and naturalness. If someone would've told me that XG is a group that were created by the ladies and they were friends since childhood, then I would've believed you. They have this comraderie amongst themselves that seems way too organic rather this being a case of auditions and then training for years to see if they made the cut.

Yess it feels so reminiscent of the earlier years of r&b but it blows my mind because how did they make it sound so new at the same time! Shooting Star is truly an anomaly.

You were definitely right on your community post. I know it's not technically kpop, but when I listened right before watchinh this, I thought...it's like a mixture of r&b/pop and kpop done the best way. I the bside was only a taste compared to the tt. It's definitely gonna be hard to beat this and the girls are showing right off the bat that 2023 is another year for girl domination in the industry👏🏻⭐️ Edit: and the styling?!?! They all looked so good. Cocona's styling almost had me on the floor😭💞 and the video is so well done. It's candy to the eyes🤩

@@Koko3op Tbh I never considered that to be a possibility. It took me multiple listens for Shooting Star for me to get used to it because the stark difference between verses and chorus was giving me figurative whiplash. Left Right is smoother in that sense to me.

They're just too good. I just imagined a full album with this vibe and now it's all I want
