Simon their producer and CEO said that Kehlani inspired him. Seeing her on stage made him want to create a group that would be and perform like her. Kehlani invited the girls over to her concert and it was amazing seen XG fangirling over Kehlani. Kehlani saw their interview when they said she was one of their favorite artist. Thanks Kehlani

For real, these Kehlani's kids. Got them singing Keisha Cole's "Love" on Korean Song Association games, one of Lani's fave songs. As part of Tsunami Mob, can't help but love them.

XG is so good. I saw their live video where they sing with the band. They are amazing. They are just so swaggy without trying and seem so genuine.

Oh these girls have BEEN trending on tiktok especially since this comeback. The cypher got international fans and people who don’t listen to K-pop/anything adjacent paying full attention to the group. And this comeback has even more eyes on them. They’ve been promoting on English-speaking media outlets too. I hope they blow up and stay at the top.

International fans, we got ONE job: make they really fckn FAMOUS. They deserve It. (And omg, never been so into a girlgroup since I started to listen kpop in 2010. Actually, since the Destinys Child and Pussycat Dolls era.)

I’ve come to the conclusion that’s the main appeal of K-pop. They take everything we love about the 90s/late 2000s pop, hip hop and RnB then infuse it with some Asian eccentricity and it’s a great formula.

I don't think I've heard 1080p so clear in a video before. The power of XG!😂

I liked shooting star more but after watching the live performance of left right, the dance just made me love it more. It gave it the edge over shooting star for me. Love the 90s vibes. It brings the nostalgia and music was so good in that time period along with the early 00s.

Visual-wise, XG did the Y2K aesthetic right. The MV reminds me of TLC, Missy Elliott and Janet x Michael's SCREAM.

They got the whole package: vocals, choreo, charisma and great music. Only need more efforts from their marketing team, they need more exposure.

In general, a lot of artist (speaking about kpop/jpop) receive a concept for a comeback or album from their company or producers and try their best to perform within that concept. But with XG I don't get that vibe. From watching/reading their interviews and reality content I really feel like this music IS them, it's not a concept er se. That is part of the reason why it stands out so much. When you make music you believe in then it comes off different - like was said in the video here - you can just see how much fun they are having. Been saying it since they dropped this single album - But I strongly feel that if XG is allowed to stay in this R&B groove, they have a real chance to fill a void in music that in my opinion has been present since the end of the 90's/early 2000s (in general, not just in kpop/jpop).

The energy that XG give is the best. I know they would go so hard in concert . It's impossible to feel sad or unmotivated when listening to them or watching them perform. I'm waiting for the day! So happy to be ALPHAZ and support them.

They do exude a really fun energy and have heaps of charisma and seemingly no holes. The songs have been good too. I haven't been this interested in a GG since 2NE1 and I'm really enjoying these ladies! Fun reaction and Bang Bang always coming through with the jokes!

I love this song! I think it's because, they are having fun with the dance and seem to connect to the music. It's not as much of a production like other groups. Also, so many other groups have this image of "being over it" and have "icy" looks. It takes away from the video to me and makes them look bored. XG has never looked bored. So excited for their rise!

After just watching the behind the scenes of the Shooting Star mv, I can almost guarantee anything you thought was a green screen and cgi, was not.

This song definitely has that 90s R&B and to me, tbh. This whole MV is giving the Fifth Element!

I said it since pre-debut. XG is the girl group that is most likely to touch Blackpink type numbers and impact. And i didn't even love Tippy Toes or Mascara...i thought they did their thing and showed us what they're capable of. But i knew that with their talent and hunger, that they would just be one banger from really taking off. Yes...i know, it's a bold claim and it's true that there are so many factors that come into play and that a lot of things have to fall into place for them, but they really could be as big as (bigger?) Blackpink. And that's not just a comment on their talent, which they've got in spades. It's also a comment to their concept, sound, and to general music consumption patterns. If their company makes the right moves and manages them well and strategically, then these girls have enough talent to hold all of the huge upside potential. Honorable mention goes to Le Sserafim and New Jeans...also beasts in their own ways, but all 3 groups, while different, share some key elements in common. Then with BABYMONSTER coming out soon? sheesh. Very interesting to see how all of this unfolds in the next few years.

Thank you for the reaction guys! i suggest you watch "Shooting Star Live Band Concert", thank me later 😄 I've watched a couple (countless) reactions since these songs came out, and you can't guess how many US teenagers said that XG makes them feel good; the themes are not about sex, performing, being tough or shooting somebody, they put out songs that empower or push you to do better for yourself and make you want to have a good time. Music should be an escape or a vibe, who wants to be caged from the safe haven?

Left Right & Shooting Star both 10/10. They should should be charting on Billboard easily if they can get more exposure & airplay somehow. I'm old skool and these young ladies are absolute 🔥🔥🔥their talent and charisma is just insane all 7 of them are unique.

I agree…I feel like for so many years, kpop are all about the performances and facial expressions being choreographed to the T. Everything had to look fierce and girl crush-y. When NWJNS came out, it was refreshing to see the free-ness of the performances/dances/interactions. They didn’t have to be straight-faced all the time. Ador even put out performance vid that are just them messing around while dancing. I came across XG on Spotify by accident, and am really loving their two latest songs thus far. I think Left Right was the most reminiscent/accurate to the 90s/00s for me for sure

Other kpop songs I don't really listen much unless I'm watching with their dance steps but this song is fire and going directly to my playlist and can listen to it all day with my other upbeat songs. Kudos to Kiel Tutin for an awesome choreography, and these group executed the steps and each pop are on point. I like the bucket hat performance rather than this official mv, coz that version showcase their moves even more. I hope they get famous and looking forward any of their upcoming songs. 🤩

Yeah this music video took me straight back to my early childhood. The Y2K space concept has a special place in my heart. From the fashion, the sound, and the set it’s a straight up nostalgia trip and I love it!

There was a huge shift in music since the 90's-00's going from "I'm in love. I love my boo" or "let's hang out and party" to money, sex, drugs, violence and "I hate men".
