I completely agree with you this is not the real reason for Airi's Farewell I think that the decision does not come from Simon but from the company I found this event very traumatic and unfair even in the musical choices of kamiya we see that there are still sequels

Thank you for watching STRA XTRA for a long time. I think AIRI dropped out because Simon decided that her age and strong personality that didn't care about conflict didn't suit his group. However, I think he should have removed her as well and made the group 7 when changing the number to 8. I think it was too cruel to have her drop out at the end, even though they worked hard together towards their debut. As a result, the remaining seven members grew spiritually, but that should not be the reason for their leaving AIRI. AIRI has already left Avex and is currently working as a solo artist, and is also active on KZread under the name KAMIYA. I think XGALX was considering a place for AIRI, but she may have declined because she didn't feel comfortable. EP X∞ is left.

I totally agree with you. The reason I don’t understand most is age. They know from the start that how old is Airi. And the girls they chose really have a big age difference. I was very surprised too. Thanks for your information. I will support her as possible💪🏻❤️

Agree! From what I can tell it wasn't just Simon's decision and there was most likely a committee of AVEX investors and other higher ups that voted on who to keep(these people probably help with allocating budget for stuff like MV's, market/advertising, etc). I think Simon wanted her in, but the investors/other higher up staff voted her out and Simon might have unintentionally hurt Airi imo since I think if they were gonna drop her they should've dropped her when they cut Hikaru and Rei. This way she would have more time for her solo preparations and career(or she also could've gotten a lot of attention being sent on the show GP999 and either build up a big solo fanbase through that show or got in Kep1er like Hikaru). Imo the "better as a solo" or "relied too much on Airi" are pretty bs reasons, don't think we'll ever know the real reason I've seen IG stories that look like Airi and Simon are still on friendly terms and I think Simon might be helping her out with getting connections with producers like Xansei(who helped write Shooting Star). I like her songs CBD, Tondekite(on spotify) and Final Boss. All speculation and rambling on my part cuz this part of the doc really hit me like a truck, thanks for posting your reactions!

Yes 🙌🏽 this episode is difficult to understand. AIRI was an amazing leader because each member sincerely felt her presence as she left along with their vocal appreciation. I don’t get it myself but I’m relieved that they still pursued their music journey. I continue to watch her SOLO music 🎼 because she made an impact on me personally. Thank you DAPHNE Alphaz for taking the time to finish the Documentary Series. 🙆🏻‍♀️🎼🤍🙌🏽🐺

Thank you for reacting to xtra xtra. I think AIRI wasn't chosen because it stood out a lot. When we watch group formation documentaries or even TV shows, for the most part all the mentors try to make each member stand out, and not just one. And that's the problem, they had synchrony, but it stood out a lot and ended up not being a harmonious group presentation. Everyone has to stand out in their parts and when dancing equal parts in the songs, only the group has to stand out.

This is my guess based on the nuances of the Japanese language observed throughout all episodes. The pass/fail decision is ultimately Simon's jurisdiction, but it is actually a collective decision. I guess that Airi couldn't pass because Simon couldn't get support of people who had a big say.（Simon would have voted to pass.） I'm also guessing that Simon's words are different from the words of the person who gave her this failing grade.

My opinion why she got dropped was due to her age. She is two years older than Chisa who is the oldest in XG. Covid would make her 22 at debut
