I saw there are quite a few they altered and people are refunding over it, and it may seem silly but I get the refunding honestly, they go to release a game that is unapologetically fan service filled, then censor it. Sure the game may still be good and it may only be minor things, but it seems more about sending a message that these kinda changes are dumb. Can we not just have M rated games be just that, no real world politics.

People need to understand this game released in most asian countries. Japan the motherland of censorships will censor this. Now it appears Shift up didn't decide to release an uncensored game everywhere else and just applied the patch in all regions. People keep saying Sony's fault but it's just different over here in Asia.

@@MD-ng8rv Last of Us 2 was uncensored worldwide. Full frontal all nude sex scene is OK, but a costume is censored? Gamers are pissed off because of this WOKE double standards. They try to distinguish between good sexism and bad sexism by their own standards. They try to teach games that there is a good sex and a bad sex. That is the point most people get angry at.

​ @samwilkinson9309 Looked more into it. Only one outfit officially changed (they added a lace bra oooo so censored). You can still wear the skin-tight outfits, she can even go fully nude to increase difficulty (yes, that's a real thing)

I really doubt that this was intentional lol. If it was an American company or a western country with a lot of cultural closeness to American culture then you could definitely say at least that this was a really bad oversight but an Asian country probably didn't purposely put this in, they just didn't think of this. Not saying Asians aren't racist but a huge game like this with the cultural difference of the devs, it's just way more likely that it's an accident because they probably didn't think of it and even if they did think of it, they wouldn't risk getting such bad press on an important release.

Funny thing is that even the uncensored version of that outfit isn't even the skimpiest outfit in the game. The game has quite a few outfits that show way more skin so I don't really get the complaints.

A lot of times when it comes to Censorship it can be a little scattershot. The problem is that the marketing around the game advertised "Uncensored in all countries!" and then has a Day 1 patch that censors things. It's become an even bigger deal with all the DEI drama going around with Sweetbabyinc, who on the outside will tell you "We're about inclusion" meanwhile targeting cis white males and even major evidence of racism within their own ranks. This is just one firm of a few that like to strong arm companies into changing their products. Ironically, The ceo of Sweetbabyinc- Kim Belair in one of her speeches talks about having approved reading lists shoved down her throat as a kid to now doing the very same thing with this "woke" agenda TLDR: Censorship is bad and it's a topic that is poppin off in a big way right now. It's not about the outfits...it's the principal of the matter.

@@MrLightlike78 I 100% agree with censorship being bad, but ultimately the devs delivered on most of what they promised. While they no doubt were forced to censor some outfits they tried to counter balanced that by still giving the fans sexy costumes that are even more skimpy then the few they censored. They game is still great and does so many things right ( 74 costumes and cosmetics that aren't DLC) that it feels wrong to condemn them for something they were most likely forced to do.
