For the time being, servers are pretty messy. Took me a few hours to get into some matches. If you're having issues, what worked for me was queueing and then tabbing over to my loadout tab in my menu then didn't touch anything until I joined a match. Weird, but fixed the issue for me. Hope it can work for you too! Additionally, for some reason Private Zones are not enabled? Surely has to be a bug as all studio comms pointed towards this being a launch feature, so apologies for suggesting testing settings in there, I (incorrectly) assumed it would be up and running by now after the server fixes.

Yup just awful lag compensation that all shooters have to disguise lag and match people to games faster disguising the bad quality, over actually searching for games with players of better ping

Thanks for the advice! I'll be testing out your suggestions. I had a go at the game yesterday, but I haven't quite formed a solid opinion yet. One thing I did notice was that the movement, particularly using the right thumb stick, felt a bit clunky compared to the smoothness of COD MW 3 2023. Additionally, I found it challenging to keep my reticle centered, which became problematic given that I typically play hardcore mode in Call of Duty (where fewer bullets are needed to kill compared to core mode). As a result, I was constantly getting taken out because my aim wasn't quite on point. XDefiant seems to blend elements from Overwatch 2, Fortnite, and old-school COD Black Ops. I plan on tinkering with the settings and investing more time into it to see if I can find a setup that works better for me.

The flashbang setting changing to dark is ingenious. It’s the most jarring effect in video games for me so GG’s to them 👏🏼

I can tell who ACTUALLY played the OG CODS by the ”sprint cancels reload settings”. The sprint to reload cancel is COD 101. Really surprised you recommend it be turned off

The Welcome Playlist is the only mode working for me, when i try dom or zone control it just instantly says 'Unable to find Match' 💀

Enjoying it thoroughly, even though after playing the server test session I was a little down on the game. I had to work for the first part of the day when the servers weren't working, so as far as that goes I havent really had any issues. I will say that the main thing I have to grip about is on one or two of the maps its pretty easy to get spawn killed, felt like I was playing CoD but that's to be expected.

Other than the server issues (not be able to find a match), ive had a blast on this game. Some minor hit reg issues, ill die after getting around a corner from time to time. Ill have my shots no-reg every once in a while. But over all, im quite pleased. Im hoping some of these minor issues are just from the servers being overwhelmed while the community all loaded it up. Most of the maps are fun. Ive ran into some cool people on VC already. Ill be leaving COD on "OFF" for a while. Hoping i can get my friend group to give COD a break and play XDEFIANT. This game will be a ton of fun with a team using comms and using their abilities strategically.

Im really enjoying this refreshing new objective based fps. Only complaint so far is sometimes i personally feel like i def ran behind the wall/cover and i still die. im not sure why it feels so prominent currently. IMO

have trying playing this for several hours now and cannot seem to get off the ground. the way is way to sweaty for someone like me to be playing.

I've never played any of the play tests for this game, and managed to only play one game yesterday. But this game feels very weird. The aim assist feels non existent, its like my aim is all over the place, and the enemies just sponge bullets, yet i die in like 2 bullets on my end. It has a very different feeling to cod, for some reason. I'm hoping its just me and my rustiness rather than game. Also only god knows why they made the sensitivity parameters so wide in range, its such a pain to find the best settings. There also needs to be a standard TDM playlist without any abilities, they get very annoying very fast.

Me and my friend were playing yesterday and the first two games we got top of scoreboard then after that each game it felt like we werent doing any damage and getting absolutely destroyed.

Playing on pc, why do I not have the controller aim lock sensitivity factor setting??

I've played around with sensitivity settings and nothing I've tried feels right. It just feels so clunky moving around. I'm a controller player and in cod I'm at max sensitivity.

Also check for your driver updates they released one for xdefiant performance and to fix latency issues

Is anyone else having issues with input lag when using a controller? I’m on ps5 with a Ethernet connection and wired controller and it still feels off.

my controller feels exactly like COD 2019.. not COD MW3 now.. its awkward,, really awkward.. and i hit my COD buttons, expecting COD reactions and i do something unintended over n over.. gonna be hard to get use to this movement and aiming. not sure if settings alone will make up for how weird the movement and aiming feel..

Well MW3 has the strongest controller aim assist out of probably any game right now. So it's going to feel different because you have to actually aim.

They need something for motion sickness / screen shake

Yeah so you’ll have to exit out of the app, go into its settings, (this part may be different depending on what you play on) check it’s storage data, move the data into a separate hard drive, now with your newfound storage data you should have enough space to download Call of Duty. Hoped that helped 👍
